[It was weird having a dorm to herself now. Nepeta couldn't say she particularly like it--she missed Ronnae a lot. While she had lived a pretty hermetic life out in the wild she had always at least had Pounce. Then there were the other trolls, and when she came here Ronnae had always been around. It surprised her how attached she had become to the other girl. So many of her friends seem to have disappeared lately. With Eridan's return, a pat of her hoped that the others would reappear soon as well, but for now she was finding an outlet in baking. Lots and lots of baking.

That's why she had set up a table right outside her dorm door to put treats out. There was no way she'd be able to eat all this by herself, so anyone who comes by is more than welcome to take some. The door to her dorm is open and she can be seen inside. The sleeves to her black shirt are rolled up---a shirt that does not bear her sign--and her hair, now reaching a little past her shoulders it messily piled atop her head with a clip.

The scent of all the various baked goods she is making spill out into the hallway. Come by to have a bite?]

[ Well, the dreaded day has finally arrived, Garden. You see, amidst the hustle and bustle of ordinary Garden life, there is a sudden outcry that pierces through the noise.

And it comes from an ermine perched on someone's shoulders as they plod back into the Quad. ]

[ The second voice comes from the someone said ermine is standing on. With a tug, she manages to get him off her head and back on her shoulders. But there's a grunt of frustration as she just kind of... slumps down. ]

[ Time compression. It's a bitch. But the duo manages to set itself to rights after a moment. ]

Right, so I can't be the only one who's noticed that things are getting... a little out of hand, what with the scorch marks, the goo, the Quad pies, the random explosions, the monster dung, the cats -- I'm just going to pre-empt you all and ask what needs to be cleaned up. - Garden Staff By the way, can we stick to blowing up cakes and not the toilets? I'm serious, no one's going to be happy if I end up marking those out of bounds.

[Sounds like someone's jogging along the ceiling! Oh, but wait, that would be defying gravity -- oh, but wait, the Prince doesn't care about that.

(OOC: Thanks to the superpowers event, the Prince gets to reject gravity at will whenever he decides to go wallrunning/ceiling crawling/Spidermanning -- well, moreso than usual. Expect to see him abuse this at every given opportunity.

Please let me know if you'd rather avoid having the Prince falling on your character -- if it just makes things awkward and unfunny, then we can skip that. Also, he'll be making an extra effort not to crash down on any women. Menfolk, however, are in for it.

Special Garden Addition!

Hello students and staff!
This is the resident gardener, Iroh here. I went on a small trip while I was gone and found a very special plant which I brought back to the Garden. There will now be a special addition to the QUAD AREA garden! It's a medicinal garden, very precious. So there are a few rules you will have to follow while you visit it.

So please, no throwing hot dog wrappers in it! But it is shaded and would be very nice for a picnic or maybe a pot of tea. Hope you enjoy it!

has anyone seen Luxray? I can't find him anywhere. I'm really worried. If you don't know what Luxray looks like, he's bigger than a dog, blue and black with a yellow tip on his tail, and he has electric powers. He looks kinda mean too. Please tell me if you see him anywhere. -Dawn

[Dawn is on the quad, sitting on a bench. It's starting to get late, so there really aren't too many people out besides herself. She's curled up in a ball, crying into her thighs. But you may find something a bit more out of the ordinary. Looming around her are strange.. things. A few dead looking flowers are floating over head, and a very ratty looking cat is sitting next to her, looking up at her expectantly with glowing yellow eyes. Behind her, various bugs are floating in the air. Cicadas, flies, bees, etcetera.

[Night has fallen on Balamb Garden; the halls of Garden are mostly deserted besides the stray student walking about, and even the usual faculty members are missing from their posts around the school. There's a certain festive energy through the air, the source coming from the happily decorated Ballroom located on the second floor.

At exactly 2100, as soon as the dinner rush ends, the Garden chime sounds and the intercom clicks on. The Headmaster speaks to the Garden.]

The Homecoming Dance is now beginning. Your attendance is requested at [2F] Ballroom.

I repeat, the Homecoming Dance is now beginning. Your attendance is requested at [2F] Ballroom. The ball will run until 2400. Students leaving the ball after curfew are to return to their dorms immediately.

The ball and its festivities tonight are being sponsored very generously by the Garden Festival Committee.

[After the announcement, the intercom falls silent. The faint sound of music can be heard from the second floor of the building.]

[Sitting in an isolated place in the Garden, somewhere away from just about everyone, is Grell beneath a tree. She's holding a stuffed animal in her hands, looking at it. Knowing who gave it to her. Who is no longer here.

Never has Grell looked so...lost. She sighs and leans back against a tree, hugging the plush toy close.]

Uh yeah. I was kinda wondering. How do you ask someone to a dance if you don't really know if they're interested? I mean... she's a really good friend and I think I kinda wanna ask her out but I don't know if she even likes me! In other words, how do you ask someone without looking like a total idiot because they probably don't like you back but you wanna try anyway?

[ However, if you have a funny feeling as to who really asked this, she's in the cafeteria, trying to choke down her lunch and wondering why she even made that post in the first place. ]

[Marco wasn't sure of this. None of his conversations with the Commander had worked out favorably, and it seemed a little ridiculous to expect otherwise this time. Still, Marco had the self-imposed job of learning everything he could while he was in this world that would help him keep his family from dying back home, and if nothing else, watching what happened when Squall did things would give him a better idea of what not to do if it went badly. And in a strange way, while he might not like Squall, the Garden was Marco's home away from the Moby Dick now, and it'd be irresponsible not to offer his help when he had some to give.

All of it has him a little more wrapped in his thoughts than usual. He's been pent up and restless. Until the Garden, Marco always considered himself something of a desk person. Now, he's painfully aware of how much of a pirate he is. He isn't prone to rash actions, but there's a good dose of choosing to hang the consequences in favor of attitude. And just because the reality is that he can't be the same way he is at home, that he's not the number one commander in a team of 16 brothers anymore, it doesn't give him enough incentive to hold back. So now he's just kicking the crap out of Grats and seeing how far he can send them flying. For fun and because not keeping a hold on one's emotions is just embarrassing, and Marco expects better of himself.

You know what? Fuck it. He's in enough trouble for the day and just going to light up a cigarette now while no one's looking. Yeah, he really should be doing this up on the roof, but he has to meet Squall and he's counting on bird startle reflexes to warm him in advance of anyone approaching. Feel free to prove him wrong?]

_{[In an effort to do some training on her own, and outside of any combat classes, Homura today is in the Training Center, battling against some of the weaker monsters there. While there were no witches here in this world, Homura still wants to become a better fighter, so fighting monsters it is.

If you happen to come across her today, you might notice that her fighting style seems to involve using explosives.

Either way, Homura's not exactly a graceful fighter, and it kind of... shows. There's times where you have to wonder how she doesn't accidentally get caught in her own explosions.]}

[Dawn curled herself up into her Luxray, sighing heavily. She was lying on the grass on the quad. She'd thought the idea of attending a military academy sounded appealing. Surely, it would be exciting, fun filled, and dangerous..

Unfortunately, it was pretty boring and slow. She didn't like school much. Sure, it was interesting to learn about all of these things.. but she'd rather pick it up as she went. You know, learn from experience? She had always thought that was the best way to learn. It'd worked for her in the past, after all.

Nothing she could do now, unfortunately, but wait. Do good in her classes and then she'd become a SeeD, and after she became a SeeD, she'd have a whole world to explore.. A completely different world from Sinnoh. Yeah, that sounded pretty amazing.

Slowly, her eyes shut. She'd take a nap.. Maybe her dreams would be filled with adventure.]

[Sitting on the stage of the quad is everyone's favorite GFC leader! There's a spot just in front of the stage with a big blanket for everyone who comes to the meeting to sit on (he has an extra one if many people come) and...SNACKS! Just some cookies he bought. It isn't much, but he appreciates all the members and their efforts!

Everyone is responsible for their own drinks, though.

A notebook is in his lap is being filled with notes while Gakupo sings this little melody, swinging his feet a bit. Ah, there's an idea! Scriblbe scribble!]

Did that mean a Witch brought her here? Homura wasn't sure, exactly, but it seemed that for now, she'd have to get adjusted to this new school environment... sort of. She wasn't sure what she'd do without Madoka to help her with things, though.

So far, that's all you hear as you pass a certain table in the library. Here, you'd chance upon a certain reaper and her ermine pouring over books. Mountains of books, it seems and on almost every topic imaginable but mostly on the areas surrounding Balamb.

There isn't a word exchanged between reaper and scythe except for the occasional "You think this is it?" "I dunno" and "I think we're on to something". Ras seems to have a bit of a time, though, trying to keep his balance on his hind legs while propped on a chair. His tiny forepaws flip through a thick book earnestly best they can and he takes care not to rip any pages with his claws.

"Uh... Shin..." he suddenly mutters.
"Yeah?"

There is a crash as the ermine teeters off the books he was "sitting" on and falls to the ground.

[Harry, as many new people often do, is wandering around the lobby looking thoroughly confused with a course catalog and welcome letter tucked under one arm. Thankfully, he seems to be taking the whole thing rather well; he isn't running around or shouting anyway.

Sure, being sent...wherever the heck he is...has never happened before, but it's not like other strange things haven't happened to him before. And he has a job to do. So with those thoughts firmly in mind he fights down the feeling of impending doom (he's gotten quite good at that) and strides purposefully towards the directory. Well, this school gets some points for having a directory anyway. Now where would one go to find the roster of students...? The library? Administration?]

I think...I am very lost.
