Various persons had struggled with a multitude of odd problems as of late. Taking that into account, he'd gone to his dorm when Oz hadn't been around to try again and again, but to no avail. And that realization (why isn't it working?) is now eating away at him as he stares off into space, too engrossed in his thoughts. Frankly, it's irritating to no end and starting to put him in a most foul mood.
Then his sandwich catches fire. The sudden heat snaps Rolo back to reality and he looks down to see that . . . oh. His sandwich is on fire.]

[He extends his arm to hold the sandwich at a distance away from himself. Given the moistness of the bread, the fire hasn't spread much. More importantly, where did it even come from?]

As part of the SOS Brigade's services to YOU, the awesome and amazing people of alien worlds, we shall now be running a Q&A! Or, since we're hopelessly devoid of one, an ADVICE COLUMN. Yep! You tell us your problems, and I tell you what to do about it!

You have 24 HOURS to get your submissions in, so get writing! If you miss the deadline, you obviously don't want your question answered enough, but I guess I can put it in next month's edition or something.

Aug. 23rd, 2011 03:09 pmpilotypical.livejournal.com[Running around outside with a whicker basket, garden gloves, wearing her red-and-white checkered summer dress with flip-flops, and a red scarf in her hair, is one of Garden's cooks, Anemone. She's heading towards the forest to pick some berries to make home-made jam (of course she'll plead Tiana to help her) for the kitchen. The large amounts of berries will also be used for desserts, desserts, desserts, desserts, and if she's not careful...fruit salad.
At the foot of the ramp into Garden, Anemone gives a holler.]

wrnpcs[There seems to be a festive atmosphere all throughout Garden. Why? Because it's the Homecoming Carnival! The Garden Festival Committee has been hard at work all morning and when 1300 hours strikes, it's finally open for everyone to enjoy.
There's a map on the Directory which shows where everything is located:

[OOC: As noted, this has been backdated to last Friday. So as not to exclude new characters who came in after, though, it can be assumed that their arrivals were backdated so they can participate.
PLEASE DO NOT POST UNTIL WE HAVE FINISHED PUTTING UP THE SUBCOMMENTS. Thank you! We're done posting the subcomments, you can go ahead and jump in!
EDIT: Also, we forgot to mention: Players can assume that characters take different shifts which allow for everyone to enjoy other parts of the carnival as well instead of being stuck manning a booth the whole night. For Dunk Tank and Kissing Booth, it's best to leave your character's name in the subject of their comment to start off their thread to indicate their shift. Thank you!
EDIT 2: FORGIVE US! We forgot to mention that there is a price for some of the attractions at the carnival. This is a fundraiser where the money can to go whatever the Garden Festival Committee sees fit; we'll let the players and their characters decide on that front. Here's how the pricing goes:
KISS: 2 gil each
FERRIS WHEEL/ BUMPER CAR/ CAROUSEL: 5 gil per person
CARNIVAL GAME: 1 gil per game
FACE PAINTING: 2 gil per person
FOOD STALLS: We'll leave this up to characters to decide.
DUNK TANK: 5 gil for 3 balls, 10 gil for 10 balls
FORTUNE TELLING: 3 gil per reading

Jun. 27th, 2011 05:34 pmpilotypical.livejournal.com[Standing in the middle of the Quad, in red-and-white t-shirt and tight jeans with flip-flops is Garden's latest arrival, an ex-theEND pilot with long, pink hair pinned up in a ponytail and barrettes, and a map of Garden in her hands. She's looking at it intently, smiling contently, and looking a little more than eager.
This is Garden's new cook for the cafeteria. Miss Anemone. Ex-theEND pilot. Ex-Corolian experiment. Ex-enemy of Gekkostate. Ex-enemy of the Corolians. And while she'd been a little loud and annoyed a couple hours ago in Cid's office, she's quite giddy and excited now. She will now be able to cook all the delicious and tasty sweets that she so adores. With her own two hands. Maybe when Dominic comes here, or she eventually goes back home, then she can show him her outstanding new cooking skills! It'd really impress him!
Yes! Anemone is very confident that this is quite possibly the best idea that she's had, aside from dating Dominic and taking in Gulliver. She already has a list of ingredients she'll need for her very first self-cooked meal!]
