I'm flattered, and thankful, but one's twenty-first birthday isn't a big deal in either of my cultures. [He has said this many times.] Or even here, considering the legal age for most things is eighteen.

[He whines, but Touma is actually having a pretty good time! Despite being a wine guy (#euro life) and thus making faces at every beer they make him try.]

[Guess who is jumping the bandwagon to try out that potion? Nepeta certainly is. She had been certain that her skills in Covert Ops were all for naught because of her appearance, but then this was presented to them.

A potion, in of itself a perfectly fine and even useful thing, but for Nepeta it was perhaps now the best time to bestow her with such a thing. not when she was questioning so much of her species, and not when she had been harboring so many unspoken desires--desires to be human. Or at the very least anything but a troll.

It really did work. Amazingly so. Her usually gray skin was instead a dark brown. Her yellow sclera had become white, gone were her fangs, horns and tail. Looking into a mirror gave her the most surreal feeling in the world...and another she couldn't quite discern. One that made her both happy and sad. She didn't allow herself to think too much on it, and decided to give it a whirl--see how many people would recognize her.

So she sat in the cafeteria with a large glass of milk and her laptop propped open as she browsed the network. Whenever someone passed by that she knew she would smile and wave at them]

[You know you missed those three girls. At various points throughout the school (eg. the cafeteria, the quad, hallways) they can be seen putting up posters and banners, as usual not even trying to be discreet with their commentary.]

Homecoming is a travesty. I can't believe we didn't get nominated!

You would have made a great Homecoming Queen - and I would have been a better Princess than any of those off-worlders!

I know! Oh, honey, [she directs this at the last girl, who's been hiding a bit of a smile] I feel so sorry for you, having to work with one of them as the GFC leader.

[Looks like someone wasn't expecting that, but she recovers quickly.] What? Oh, yeah. It's awful! And now she's nominated for Princess...

At least she's human! Two of those King and Queen nominations - ugh!

I really can't believe there's only two of our people nominated for the entire Court.

And they're off-worlder lovers at that - but they're the best we've got!

[About two weeks before, most people who've talked to Damian received this note in their dorms:]

[So today's the big day. Damian feels so weird thinking about it, especially since it's not just his birthday anymore - it's his twin's too - and he feels like he's got some kind of responsibility to make it special. He's kept the details on the DL, mainly since it's supposed to be small and kind of not made into a big fuss...

But after sunset today on the Quad, he's arranged for some tables and catered food from Balamb proper for a proper birthday! He carefully sets his present for Ahki down on the table of presents before he steps back and admires his handiwork. It's nothing fancy - just a few decorated tables and a birthday banner he got from god-knows-where - but it's better than nothing. Plus, he even got them a huge sheet cake with their names on it!

Carefully, he pulls out a date and breaks his fast - it's still Ramadan, after all. It's weird, seeing the place so quiet, but it's a small dinner with friends (and party crashers) so it shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully.]

While Damian DID say he kept it small, if you've even talked to him once, you were probably invited. Or you can party crash, there's enough food for everyone. :D]

Hi.

I kind of got really sick again after the trip to Dollet, so I'm in the infirmary again... I don't know how long I'll be here for this time, but I'm hoping it won't be more than another week. Maybe by then, I'll be well enough to start doing things again!

So I guess until then, I won't be able to go to any of my classes, or uh, do much of anything else... But I do have this laptop, so I can still be on the BBS!

So, yeah. I hope I don't miss too much until then!

So, while we're here, Rapunzel and I were wondering...

Has anyone here been to Dollet before? If you have, what sort of really cool or fun things do you know of there that we can do? We want to see everything worth seeing while we're here, so if anyone has any ideas about great stuff to do, I'd love to hear it!

Oh, and if anyone else is interested in coming with us when we do go and explore Dollet, that would be great too!

Hello, Balamb Garden! It's been a while since I've posted here - I blame Time Compression for sucking me out and pulling me back in - but I think we all need a little something to keep us organized and together while we're on campus.

So I'm starting a new feature: Cissie's List. And while it's currently not something sponsored by Garden, I certainly hope it'll be something the school'll take note of in the future. :)

HOW THIS WORKS

Cissie's List is a feature dedicated to telling you guys what (and who) people are looking for! We've got personals, services (PG-RATED SERVICES), items for sale, even the occasional weird request if Cadets and Staff so want them!

The restrictions:

[Danny has most definitely noticed the influx of newcomers, and has been excited ever since. More people means more potential friends he can make! And that's never a bad thing. Especially after the embarrassment of getting stuck in the cafeteria wall.

So whenever he's not in class, he's searching for people to talk to. In the cafeteria, getting lunch? He'll sit next to you! In the quad pondering life under a tree? HE'LL COME TALK TO YOU. Trying to get a break from this crazy school in the bathroom stall? HE'LL BE THE--actually no he won't but he may run into you outside on his way to other hot spots to make new interdimensional friends!]

From the hallway, only his waist upwards is visible, as he hangs downwards as if being pulled by gravity. (If you happen to be in the cafeteria, his legs are doing the same thing.)

[World hopping? Something fairly common for Xion. It's her job of sorts, afterall. Confusion about this certain situation she had somehow found herself in? Fairly. But that was okay! That was.. Fine. Sort of. Maybe.

She looked over the letter again, reading it closely. And then again, to see if magically some new information came up. Which, of course, it didn't.

Which was making her (quietly) panic. Shuffling her feet against the ground, looking terribly lost. Though to be fair, a hooded figure where you cant see their face is kind of shady, no matter where you are, right? Right. But that fact seems to be lost on one petite sized girl staring at her letter enough that it was possible she would bore holes through it on sheer will alone.]

Ooh! This isn't good..

[This isn't right. Danny stands in his room, door still ajar in his confusion, staring at the picture that has mysteriously found its way to his bed.

It's Danny in the photo alright, but he is surrounded by people he has never seen--aside from Jazz. But there is also a dark-haired girl, a dark-skinned boy, and two adults standing by him. In the background, a building Danny's never seen. He doesn't know this place, he doesn't know these people.

His hands have started to shake.]

[Danny's face pops up on the feed, looking weary, tired, and a little fearful.]

H...has anyone else gotten something like this? [He holds up the photo.] Like...something you don't remember? This just showed up in my room earlier today, and I don't... [he has to pause to swallow, nervous. Maybe doing a video feed wasn't such a good idea.] I don't know what it is, or where it came from, just that that's--I never was there.

[It was weird having a dorm to herself now. Nepeta couldn't say she particularly like it--she missed Ronnae a lot. While she had lived a pretty hermetic life out in the wild she had always at least had Pounce. Then there were the other trolls, and when she came here Ronnae had always been around. It surprised her how attached she had become to the other girl. So many of her friends seem to have disappeared lately. With Eridan's return, a pat of her hoped that the others would reappear soon as well, but for now she was finding an outlet in baking. Lots and lots of baking.

That's why she had set up a table right outside her dorm door to put treats out. There was no way she'd be able to eat all this by herself, so anyone who comes by is more than welcome to take some. The door to her dorm is open and she can be seen inside. The sleeves to her black shirt are rolled up---a shirt that does not bear her sign--and her hair, now reaching a little past her shoulders it messily piled atop her head with a clip.

The scent of all the various baked goods she is making spill out into the hallway. Come by to have a bite?]
