Uh yeah. I was kinda wondering. How do you ask someone to a dance if you don't really know if they're interested? I mean... she's a really good friend and I think I kinda wanna ask her out but I don't know if she even likes me!

In other words, how do you ask someone without looking like a total idiot because they probably don't like you back but you wanna try anyway?

Well considering you already have the advantage of them being a friend? I'd go and ask them. I mean, it'd be different if it were someone random, but since you know her already, you have a better chance.

Worst case scenario? They say no. But that doesn't mean you'll stop being friends right?

Well yeah but doesn't that make it kinda awkward? If your friend suddenly outta nowhere asked you to something that's kinda like a date... you know what I mean.

Well you won't know unless you try right? I don't know what would be worse, never knowing the answer, or having an awkward moment with a friend. I think I would rather have the embarrassing moment with my friend even with how shy I am. It's something we could look back on and laugh about.

But like I said, worse case scenario? She'll say no. So you have a good chance!

It's still kinda scary though but thanks for the advice.

With flowers or chocolate or something she likes. It makes it clear that you're asking as a date instead of just as a friend. And then even if she doesn't like you back, hopefully she'll still think better of you because she likes the present.
