[Goose has been in some odd sorts as of late.

He was grumpy. He was finding himself losing his luster. Here he is, an ace pilot in his prime, and he's suddenly finding himself unable to understand basic concepts in his new training. Even the basics of flight and aerial combat were things he couldn't possibly retain in his poor mind.

That wasn't the weirdest of it, though. It is certainly the worst of it, but not the weirdest.

Said weirdest part was, well...

Let's just say that anyone who passes him by may notice his hair moving at his will, grabbing at things and pressing buttons and doing everything his hands should be doing. At times, Goose gets bewildered or just plain facepalms at the possibilities his now prehensile hair can reach.

[So whoever thought they were classy when they arrived at the Garden thought they were classy obviously hasn't arrived back on a dragon.

Actually, that probably scared the heck out of anyone who's never seen Redglare and her Lusus Pyralsprite. But she knows how to make an entrance as the large dragon flies her close enough to make a safe leap down onto level ground, staff in hand. The dragon soon disappears as she lands.]

It smells like the ocean now that we're near Fisherman's Horizon. It's kind of annoying really to smell all this fish. Hmph.

But I smell a lot of new things around here too, how delightful.

Greetings students. I am Instructor Redglare. I will not tolerate any silly nicknames or anything that may potentially be impolite.

I suppose not all of you were here when I was around, but that is none of my concern. I will be instructing International Law and Criminal Justice as no one else is worthy of teaching such classes. I've spent most of my life to learn everything I know about these subjects. I take law very seriously and if you are enrolled in my classes, I will see to it that you treat them with the utmost respect that it deserves.

That being said, I take rules just as seriously and I will not hesitate to punish those who break them, so I better not catch any of you childish antics and rule breaking around here.

the homecoming dance begins... (backdated to last Saturday)

[Night has fallen on Balamb Garden; the halls of Garden are mostly deserted besides the stray student walking about, and even the usual faculty members are missing from their posts around the school. There's a certain festive energy through the air, the source coming from the happily decorated Ballroom located on the second floor.

At exactly 2100, as soon as the dinner rush ends, the Garden chime sounds and the intercom clicks on. The Headmaster speaks to the Garden.]

The Homecoming Dance is now beginning. Your attendance is requested at [2F] Ballroom.

I repeat, the Homecoming Dance is now beginning. Your attendance is requested at [2F] Ballroom. The ball will run until 2400. Students leaving the ball after curfew are to return to their dorms immediately.

The ball and its festivities tonight are being sponsored very generously by the Garden Festival Committee.

[After the announcement, the intercom falls silent. The faint sound of music can be heard from the second floor of the building.]

[There's really no words to describe just how soar and tired he and his body both are. Everything from the waist up is... a war zone. His arms, chest, neck, completely covered in scratches and teeth marks so deep the scaring probably won't go away easily, and not even gonna mention that special carved symbol on his chest... Let's just say his entire upper body except his face and hands is wrapped in bandages right now, wrists to his whole neck, and he's even got a long sleeve shirt on under his school jacket instead of a short sleeved one.]

[He walks through the halls with a rather slouched posture, very different from his usual cocky one and he occasionally seems to stop and flinch, holding a hand by his torso, near where his broken rib is, only to suck it up and continue going, holding his bag under one of his arms, not using the strap right now because dear god that would hurt.]

[More hall wondering, and eventually he makes it to the quad and sits down with a sigh, opening his laptop and taking out one of his text books.]

[Okay. Okay the last thing he did before being sent here? Shit. That's all in the past. Nothing happened. He didn't get his black advances rejected by Rose, and he didn't get his computer blown up. Except... he's probably going to flip a switch if someone brings it up. Yep.

[BBS] What's in a Date?

Since we all come from various different backgrounds, I'm curious as to what everyone of age deems a good date?

Are there any cliches where you're from that you want to avoid? Or perhaps customs that are absolutely required? When you want to go formal, do you prefer big and splashy or something quiet and intimate? Of course generally it's best to tailor such a thing to the person you're dating, but what if they're not sure? Do you bring a gift, and what kind, or is that too over the top? Perhaps something from the heart is better.

Anyone got particular favorite date ideas they've been on or wish-dates to fulfill?

It's nice to be back. This is a rather late introduction back considering I'm already settled in back in my room and my classroom has long been set-up to my tastes.

But I suppose an introduction should be in order.

Afternoon, this is Dick Grayson. I'll be one of the known instructors for (MOV 101) Military Movement along with (WTR 402) Advanced Weapons Training: Blunt Weapons. You may call me how you like. I prefer to go by Dick really. It's not the most professional sounding, but I'm pretty informal. Do please refrain from any dick jokes behind my back. I do love a good joke, and having them told behind my back just wouldn't do.

I'd like to give a general announcement that I am always available if you need any help whatsoever, so don't feel shy or intimidated. Perhaps the biggest trouble is locating me at times.

That being said I have one more thing to say which is aimed at two people in particular.

Timothy Drake. Damian Wayne. I'd like to see you two as soon as possible. Preferably not at the same time if possible. Thank you.

[For the rest of the day, Dick will spend most of his time reacquainting himself with the Garden. He'll probably be mostly in the cafeteria though since that tends to be a usually populated area. And it means he can probably chat with students and other instructors. He seems to be fond of the uniforms since he'll be wearing his most of the time.

He's also contemplating things about back home. It's been a year after all. Things were so calm before he left. That, and Bruce had just returned to them. They even got together as a family, or who was available in the family. It makes him a little disheartened to know that something like that won't be occurring here anytime soon. He's still pleased to see a lot of new faces around at the Garden though. He always enjoys new faces and meeting new people, so he's excited.

Other then that, you'll catch Dick wandering around a lot. He'll be in his room a few times or the classroom. But it's easiest to find him in the cafeteria or the second floor.]

[Dawn curled herself up into her Luxray, sighing heavily. She was lying on the grass on the quad. She'd thought the idea of attending a military academy sounded appealing. Surely, it would be exciting, fun filled, and dangerous..

Unfortunately, it was pretty boring and slow. She didn't like school much. Sure, it was interesting to learn about all of these things.. but she'd rather pick it up as she went. You know, learn from experience? She had always thought that was the best way to learn. It'd worked for her in the past, after all.

Nothing she could do now, unfortunately, but wait. Do good in her classes and then she'd become a SeeD, and after she became a SeeD, she'd have a whole world to explore.. A completely different world from Sinnoh. Yeah, that sounded pretty amazing.

Slowly, her eyes shut. She'd take a nap.. Maybe her dreams would be filled with adventure.]

[When he first transportalized into the Balamb Garden dormitories, he was confused. He was sure he'd entered the warp gate that lead to the Land of Quartz and Melody, but Aradia was no where to be seen. Was this some new, hidden challenge level he'd randomly journeyed to? They'd only just started SGRUB, it was possible...]

[Except, the acceptance letter siting on the sleep square sort of suggested otherwise. And while he wasn't thrilled to be delayed in his mission to ~~make Aradia his girlfriend~~ guide the b100 team to flawless victory, the words "time compression" were involved. And if he knew anything about time shenanigans, it's that they were better off being left to the experts. And while the experts attempted to figure out how to get every one back to their own worlds, he might as well make the most out of his time here and gain ALL THE LEVELS. With any luck, he'd be back before anyone knew to miss him, mwahahahaha.]

[And the course catalog was filled with so many interesting classes... How could he ever chose?]

[He couldn't, that's how, and he spent hours pouring over the selection, putting together different combinations and specializations until finally, hunger forced him to emerge from his assigned respiteblock.]

[He made it to the front door of the dormitories before he was forced to beat a hasty retreat. It was day. Oh gee, it was the day. He'd been up all night, and now it was day, and he was hungry, and the sun was out.]
