[ Danny is flying around looking down at the letter that he had received just a few moments ago. Okay so... by some work of some powerful sorceress he's been brought here to be in this military school as a cadet? It sounds sort of like one of those dreams that are really actually nightmares. Except you can't wake up from it. And the things about powers. Okay, maybe he should be flying around--

CRASH.

Okay where did this tree come from.

He collides right into the tree, falls down a few branches, and eventually hits the ground. On his face. Okay. If he wasn't half-ghost that could have reaaally hurt. Moreso than it did. ]

Uh. Well. I've always been in control when I overshadow someone.

[ He's never just stayed in someone's body. Can he even do that? ]

[She seems disappointed for a moment, but rallies.]

Well, I guess if I was using someone ELSE's tricks in a routine, it wouldn't really me my routine anyway.

[She lifts off the ground to get a look at him again.]

So how'd you die?

You can do trick?

[ Danny rubs the back of his head. He's never had to answer this question and he doesn't really know how. He's only half-ghost after all. ]

Uh. Well. It was an accident.

[ He wasn't lying at least ]

Of course I can! There's no pegasus anywhere that can outfly me!

[She zips off in a rainbow blur, then arcs above him, spinning around so that the rainbow wake she trails twists around in spirals. As it dissipates, she zips back proudly.]

[ He watches her as she zips around and... wow. She can fly fast. He hasn't seen many other ghosts if any that could fly as was as her. Not to mention the rainbow! Once she was done he claps. ]

How long did it take you to learn how to fly like that?!

[ Time for Danny to be amazed! ]

[She draws herself up proudly, chest puffed out and head back.]

I was born this good! I've been flying better than anyone else since I was a filly! And I practice and train to make SURE I stay the best!

Heh. Well, you are the fastest Pegasus I've ever seen fly.

[ There's been some ghosts ones but they weren't nearly as fast as Rainbow Dash ]

Actually. I didn't know non-ghost Pegasus existed until now.

Wait, they had ghost pegasi where you came from, but not living ones?

You mean all the pegasus ponies are DEAD?! What kind of world do you COME from!?

[ ... Whoops. MAYBE THAT WAS NOT THE RIGHT THING TO SAY. ]

W-Well. I've only seen one Pegasus ghost really. But. Uh. There's the human world, and then there's the ghost zone that parallels the human world. I've never seen any in the human world so uh. I don't know where they all are. Maybe they're in hiding?

[She's not even sure WHAT to make of this. So the human world had one pegasus ghost, but ONLY one?]

[She put a hoof to her head.]

I'm sorry I asked, figuring out this other-world stuff gives me a headache.

[ Yup. Basically. It's... weird. He's not too sure of it himself. ]

Well. What about your world? I mean. You're a talking pegasus.

How is it perfectly normal?! Back in the human world I've never heard an animal talk. Unless well... They're a parrot.

I'm not an animal, I'm a pony! And on Equestria, humans don't even exist. So that's even weirder!

Ponies are a type of animal on my world. And... wait? Humans don't exists at all where you're from?

Nope. Never seen anything like any of you guys before till I came here.

Soo... what did you think of us when you first got here?

[She gives him a wry look.]

Not so great, considering most people kept running or hiding or shooting at me. Kinda gets a pony angry.

Y-yeah. I completely understand. There are some humans that hunt ghosts as well as some ghosts that hunt other ghosts.

Aren't you a ghost that hunts other ghosts?

[wittybanter]

[ Danny rubs the back of his head ]

Not exactly. I'm a ghost that finds other ghosts that fled from the Ghost Zone and are causing trouble. I go and put them back into the Ghost Zone where they belong.

But that's not hunting them?

[You're confusing her on the fine distinctions, in large part because 'hunting' is just a little different in meaning to a herbivorous creature.]

No. Hunting them would be putting them in a cage or mounting them on a wall.

[ Much like what Skulker wants to do with him. ]

...but couldn't they just go through the bars of the cage, or pull themselves off the wall?

[ THAT'S OKAY because he actually knows the answers to these questions! ]

Not if the cage is designed by a ghost, or is made out of special energy that ghosts can't phase through. Also, in the ghost zone ghosts are like human. But on the other hand, the humans are the ghosts in the Ghost Zone.
