HOLI BONFIRE (backdated to 4/14)

[The Garden Festival Committee and the Fight Club have graciously sponsored a giant bonfire in the Quad from 2000 to 2400 hours on Saturday night! It takes up most of the room in the center, with piles upon piles of freshly-cut logs and staff members replenishing the fire every so often with para-magic, but there's plenty to do and see in the Quad regardless.

Various members of the GFC have guitars on them, in order to properly sing campfire songs around the bonfire, and there's stations run by both Fight Club and the GFC near the back for s'mores, chocolate, and various other snacks that a bonfire party might need.

And even though your presence isn't mandatory, the smell of freshly roasted s'mores and the heat from the bonfire might be enough to entice just about anyone.]

[Yuna has a similar look on her own face. She has the sticky treat in her hand, and her gaze turns from the s'more to the other girl.] They must not have these where you're from, either.

[She has no idea this is the girl she chatted with on the network.]

They don't! [She looks up and smiles at Yuna.] I like your dress. It's really pretty.

[This is nice. It's bigger than the little campfire Eugene had made back home that night before they arrived in Corona. It's so warm. Rapunzel is quite content watching the flames.]

Is there room for one more?

[SURPRISE! Cissie can't help smiling widely as she holds out a stick with a marshmallow on it for Rapunzel.] I always did like bonfires...

[It sure is a surprise, and an awesome one! Rapunzel had initially wondered if maybe Cissie was busy but over time had come to realize her friend had likely returned home. She beams excitedly as she reaches out to take the stick.]

Of course! I didn't know you had come back, Cissie! [She wants to hug the other girl but. This marshmallow stuff is supposed to be sticky, right? Probably not the best idea to possibly get it on their clothes.]

[Eugene comes over with two plats, four gram crackers, two marshmallows, and two half-pieces of chocolate bar.]

S'mores fun, m'lady?

S'mores? [This is new to her, okay? But she is glad to see Eugene and happily skootches over a little so he can join her.]

[And a certain someone comes to stand nearby (though not too close).]

[O-oh. Yeah, she doesn't need to be too close for Rapunzel to recognize that voice.] Yes.

[It kind of reminds her of the campfire Eugene had made back home the night she first saw Gothel after leaving the tower.]

[It's been forever since he last played guitar, but it's a bonfire... and they've got yummy s'mores... so Tom found an old guitar from the music room and tuned it up just for the occasion.

He's quietly playing the first few measures of Kumbaya My Lord, and occasionally humming lyrics to himself, but for the first time in a while, he doesn't seem too bad at it.]

[Another guitar player! Gakupo will try to resist the urge to sing--Oh, who is he kidding?! Of course he's singing! But instead of playing a guitar himself, he'll enjoy Tom's rendition, resting his own guitar case next to him as he sits not too far away. Ah, bonfires, music, and s'mores. What a pleasant evening!]

[In-between songs, Tom looks up at Gakupo and smiles.] Nice voice you've got there. Makes me wish I'd actually attempted to sing decently in high school.

You play guitar?

[Artemis plops down next to him though her eyes are on all the activity going on around them.]

Should have seen that one coming.

[He laughs, looking up at her. By now, he's memorized the chords well enough that he doesn't really have to look at what he's playing.]

I was in a band in high school. We weren't really that good, but... [He shrugs.] I play every now and then.

Now more so since my girlfriend found out I could.
