[Considering how happy Espio has been lately, his recent moping certainly seems quite a dramatic contrast... and after the weekend, it has only become worse. Moreso now because he's noticed it, which made him think, which in turn made him think of other things to be unhappy about.

The obvious solution might have been to tackle the cause... but unfortunately, despite what it might look like to a few people, the cause just isn't one isolated thing, and the only ways he can see to tackle the issues he can tackle look pretty hopeless.]

So what do you do when doing and/or thinking something is ridiculously bad for you and by extension the people around you, but no matter what you do to distract yourself and put your focus on something else, you can't help yourself? Even though all the logic and reasonable thinking you possess says you're wrong and stupid.

I don't mean anything specific, more a collection of things. They don't even make sense, so don't ask. General summary is: I'm an idiot.

Books are helpful in many ways. It merely depends on which you choose.

Well....I guess I'm still kind of looking to the answer to that myself. I doubt I would be much help in this instance...other then an unbiased ear to listen. I just arrived after all, so I don't know many people yet. But I'm sure you're not that big of an idiot. I mean, perhaps it's not as bad as it all seems to be?

It's definitely not as bad as it seems. That's part of the problem - reason makes it not so bad, but idiocy makes it terrible.

Well, if you want a distraction so you can kinda take a mental break and maybe think clearly, I wouldn't mind getting to know more of this place and all. Besides, I think we should hang out anyway! You seem like a fun kid. [He still has no idea how old Espio is....and the only reason he can use this thing is because Thatch left his on. Plus Grell and Thatch had given him a run down on the BBS and his laptop itself. He wasn't terribly proficient, but he could do the basics he needed...after a bit of trial and error.]

Wow. If you think asking people what they do when they feel like crap is embarrassing, you must be really thin-skinned.

If you can't distance yourself from it, try to face it. If it's that stuck in your mind, it's likely a problem that needs to be solved, whether by yourself or with someone else's help.

That's my take on it, at least. I'm hardly an expert on human emotions.

"Getting over" things could take time, but maybe there's someone you can talk to? That's the only suggestion I have.

[That actually takes a little while because Marco goes look most other places, but it also gives him time to steal some cupcakes to bring with him, so when he knocks, he's carrying a box of them, and nomming on a blue one for himself.]

Yo! You in there little bro? [He's doing this just because all four: Marco, Thatch, Namur, and Ace would be likely to start off a conversation this way and he likes to be irksome.]
