[Balamb Garden has taken off around the Balamb coastline! The seaside and clear night sky can be seen through the windows and from the balconies. The halls are mostly deserted besides the stray student walking about, and even the usual faculty members are missing from their posts around the school. There's a certain festive energy through the air, the source coming from the happily decorated ballroom located on the second floor.

[At exactly 2100, as soon as the dinner rush ends, the Garden chime sounds and the intercom clicks on. The Headmaster speaks to the Garden.]

The Homecoming Dance is now beginning. Your attendance is requested at [2F] Ballroom.

The ball and its festivities tonight are being sponsored very generously by the Garden Festival Committee.

[After the announcement, the intercom falls silent. The faint sound of music can be heard from the second floor of the building.

[Within the ballroom, there is a stationary stand for punch and food, as well as roaming caterers offering drinks (grape juice) and canapes.]

Voting is now closed. There is a thread here for announcing and crowning the winners; on-lookers are free to react in the thread.

Attendance is entirely optional, so with most of the faculty at the dance, characters are free to roam the rest of the school! However, as Balamb Garden is flying around the Balamb coastline, they will not be able to leave (unless you can fly or really like heights and don't mind injuries...), and any characters left behind will be stranded for a few hours.

What about non-Midgardian terms? [His moves are pretty simple compared to what they were doing earlier. Just a simple slow dance.]

I am considered having come of age. [ She presses close, laying her cheek against his chest. ] Age is an entirely different concept for gods.

I can understand that. [Gakupo glides to the music with Sigyn.] There were always a set age for certain things back home, if only to protect youths.

To count the years would be tiring. Age is slow to our kind. [ She then cocks her head to the side, smiling slyly when she realizes something. ] Is that why you looked so scandalized when you met me by the pool?

[Oh, that incident. Gakupo tinged slightly before clearing his throat.]

I hadn't expected you to be in a swimsuit. By the pool... [Okay, that sounded better in his head than out loud.]

[ She chuckles. Another teasing game to play. ]

[ She gives his waist a squeeze, wryly smiling. ]

Well, as a male, it would be odd to say that I do prefer a bathing suit, but I tend to have more respect for women than most of my gender. Ultimately, what a woman wears won't change her personality much.

Quite detailed. [ The music moves in tempo. ] Do you fear I might interpret your actions incorrectly?

[That question has him thinking, because it was quite a good one.]

As an entertainment idol and seen by all very often, I'm always cautious about the things I say or do. [He smiles wryly.] I don't need gossip to start, and I certainly don't want my actions to poorly affect my company.

Astute observation. [ She then drops her arms from his neck and places her hands at his each hip. ] No longer jumpy? I'm a bit disappointed. It was...a bit funny.

I think I'm over my jitters for now. But you'll never know, they may come back! [He takes one of her hands and bows from the waist before kissing the back of his hand.] Thank you for the dance.

[ She actually pinkens about the cheeks at the kiss of her hand. But she's not one to be taken lightly. She dips back and curtsies, albeit clumsily. ] My pleasure. [ She then rises, steps forward on her tiptoes and kisses his lips, ever so briefly, then retracts, letting his hand go. ]

[Now it's his turn to pinken a bit at the brief kiss. He hadn't expected...any of this to happen, but glad it did. Being the suave person he is, Gakupo recovers and smiles softly to her.]

So says your cheeks. [ she chuckles, then turns and starts toward the punch bowl. ]

He watches her walk away before going in a different direction. Perhaps to see just how red he turned.]
