[Balamb Garden has taken off around the Balamb coastline! The seaside and clear night sky can be seen through the windows and from the balconies. The halls are mostly deserted besides the stray student walking about, and even the usual faculty members are missing from their posts around the school. There's a certain festive energy through the air, the source coming from the happily decorated ballroom located on the second floor.

[At exactly 2100, as soon as the dinner rush ends, the Garden chime sounds and the intercom clicks on. The Headmaster speaks to the Garden.]

The Homecoming Dance is now beginning. Your attendance is requested at [2F] Ballroom.

I repeat, the Homecoming Dance is now beginning. Your attendance is requested at [2F] Ballroom. The ball will run until 2400. Students leaving the ball after curfew are to return to their dorms immediately.

The ball and its festivities tonight are being sponsored very generously by the Garden Festival Committee.

[After the announcement, the intercom falls silent. The faint sound of music can be heard from the second floor of the building.

[Within the ballroom, there is a stationary stand for punch and food, as well as roaming caterers offering drinks (grape juice) and canapes.]

Voting is now closed. There is a thread here for announcing and crowning the winners; on-lookers are free to react in the thread.

Attendance is entirely optional, so with most of the faculty at the dance, characters are free to roam the rest of the school! However, as Balamb Garden is flying around the Balamb coastline, they will not be able to leave (unless you can fly or really like heights and don't mind injuries...), and any characters left behind will be stranded for a few hours.

[Ahri decided to come with a comfortable, flexible and as usual, revealing outfit. Just because it was the type of clothing she preferred.

Truthfully she'd much rather be naked, but she knows the limitations of social worlds where clothing is a must for everyone. She was more than fine compromising. After all, she was here to have a good time and she intended to do so.

Even as she waited around for the winner of the auction, she still made sure to wave, greet, and have fun with those that were around her. Always making sure to give them something to stare, or think about while she was around.

Even her tails seemed overly playful this day and it almost seemed to be a mesmerizing display if you looked at them for too long.]

[Forgive Gakupo for staring. He's just never seen so many tails before...]

[Ahri turned and smiled mischievously, winking at them.]

Of course they're real~ You're free to come closer for a better inspection if you wish.

N-No, I don't think that will be necessary... [He's not sure of touching her tails to make sure they're real would be proper.] Do they serve a purpose?

A purpose? [She looked thoughtful for a few before simply smiling and moving a bit closer.]

Not entirely I suppose, I'm sure I could live without them but I'd rather not~ They can be so useful and fun. [She admitted with a giggle and it almost seemed as if the tails were beckoning them closer.]

[Gakupo looks to the tails before looking to her, who seemed to have moved closer to him. When was that?!]

I can only imagine. [He gives a wry smile.] I don't think we've met before. I'm Gakupo.

Nice to meet you Gakupo, I'm Ahri, I arrived not long ago and I'm afraid I haven't really made my presence around~ [She added with a small smile.]

It's nice to meet you, Ahri. I'm surprised I haven't seen you about, really. [Chuckles softly.]

It just took a bit for me to adjust enough to trust going out without using the shadows and such, or unless someone peaked my fancy~

I'm a bit better adjusted now so perhaps you will see me more often. Hopefully that's a good thing. [She winked]

[He chuckles softly.] Of course that's a good thing! No one with such looks should hide~!

You never know when you might be being watched~ Of course, it's just habit and...

[She walks closer and give him a playful wink and a smile.]

Precisely! [Gakupo smiles and offers a hand to her.] Would you care to dance?

It would be my pleasure~ [Ahri mused as she placed her hand on his and smiled warmly.]

[Gakupo smiles back and leads her to the dance floor. The music is upbeat this time around, which suits Gakupo just fine. He'll dance to anything.]

Is this your first Homecoming Dance?

[Ahri follows, her tails playfully swaying behind her as she walks with him, a smile never leaving her face.]

Mhm~ I love dancing, but I usually did it alone and int he forests. This will be a first for me!

Why would you dance alone? [He leads them to an empty space before dancing.]

Why not? One should always enjoy the sounds and music of the forests don't you think? Although, I have begun to become fond of the sounds and music where people delve. The cities, the villages, this Garden~

[She flowed into his arms as she moved to begin dancing with him, her tails following her movements.]

Ah, I meant why isn't anyone else dancing with you? I find dancing to be more enjoyable with company.

Oh, [Ahri giggled.] This is true, but alas~ No one really ventured into the forests I used to dwell in unless they were lost, or hunting me.

In either case, they didn't seem all to willing to dance I'm afraid.

That's a shame, really. You'll just have to make up for lost time here~! [Gakupo smiles to her.]

Oh I hope so. Maybe you'll be helping me do as such~? [She mused with a wink.]

I'd be delighted! Dancing is one of my favorite things to do! [And he'll show off a short dance routine, consisting of a twirl and something a boy band would do.]

[Ahri giggled and clapped in amusement, even her tails seemed to join in as they swayed excitedly behind her.]

You enjoy it and are skilled~ That's a good thing to have.

It also comes in handy for Ballroom Dancing! Although not many are happy that class is mandatory. [He'll return to dancing normally now.]

[And she'll follow suit, practically flowing into his arms and looking at him through narrowed, interested eyes.]

I don't mind if it's all like this~
