Fourth wall mingle post

[For the regular denizens of Balamb Garden, it's an ordinary day...until more off-worlders start showing up, for only a few hours at a time. Unsure what to make of these more temporary visitors, the Garden faculty is holding off on registering them as cadets or offering them jobs.

[Maybe someone you know might turn up?]

Mod note, to reiterate:

4th wall characters can only be seen at certain hours of the day. They may appear for two hours a day, or four... or seen only in the early morning... the time doesn't matter to us, but they're not permanently here. They may return to Garden again through the rest of the month, but they're not around 24/7.

Like apped characters, 4th wall characters can't be ridiculously-sized. Transformers, Gundams, and similar concepts/characters will become human-sized (and in the case of mechas, not allowed altogether.)

Players (like you and me) are not allowed to visit Garden. We're breaking the 4th wall, not destroying it altogether!

Apart from this post, 4th wall characters are free to reply to open posts in witchesreign or open logs in concoursec. Apped players have the option of closing their posts to in-game characters only.

All BBS posts are locked to in-game characters only. 4th wall characters do not have access to any sort of logged in posts unless they hijack someone else's log-in---and in those cases, we need to know this beforehand.

For those unfamiliar with the setting, here is more info on Balamb Garden's facilities and layout. Additionally, some of the NPCs around and some player characters may be wearing Balamb Garden's cadet or SeeD uniform.

The hot pink whirlwind teaches! [Oh, he's grinning now.] That's almost more surprising than the different world thing.

[...at the same time, he's kind of proud of her.]

[Hot pink.... whirlwind?] Scary thing is, she's not half-bad.

That's terrifying. When and where's her class? I'd probably have to bring back video evidence for her to believe me.

All of her classes are after lunch. Monday, Wednesday, Friday is Drama... and Tuesday/Thursday is Art and Music Appreciation.

I could swing by her classroom with you now if you want.

Tempting. [He hesitates because he's not really sure what to do faced with this teacher Sharpay, so far from what he knows of her.]

[werepanther]

Trust me: she doesn't care if people listen in. Especially her boyfriend from the future.

[THAT HE DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT. He's a terrible actor, so of course he cringes at the thought.]

Then what's that [he imitates Tom's cringe, poorly] about?

[werepanther]

Sorry man, I just...

[He takes a deep breath.] I didn't know Shar had a boyfriend until two minutes ago. Much less one that hasn't met her yet.

[filming]

["Shar" (he's only heard Ryan call her that), all the fuss over him being Sharpay's boyfriend... Peyton's starting to put the pieces together, and he doesn't really like it.]

And this bothers you. [Definitely a statement rather than a question, but his raised eyebrows add, "Why?"]

[werepanther]

Yeah. [He shrugs helplessly, as a kind of indirect apology.]

Not in the sense that "you're not worthy for her or anything," because I'm sure you are, but like...

She kind of has a boyfriend here too.

[filming]

[It's a bit of a punch in the gut, but one that Peyton feels he should have expected. He sighs.]

You? [Somehow, he manages to keep this resigned instead of accusatory like it so easily could have been.]

[werepanther]

[He nods, slightly grateful that this may not end in a fight.]

[Peyton doesn't realize at first that he's making a loose fist with one hand, but the second he notices, he unclenches his hand. Maturity, Leverett, grow some. Sharpay hasn't even met him here; it's fine for her to go after some random...

[Okay, no, it still kind of stings.]

Well, you have good taste. [It's weak, but at least it's a joke.]

[werepanther]

So do you. [Tom laughs nervously, stuffing his hands in his pockets.]

Look, I don't know what happened in your world... but for what it's worth, I'm pretty sure I don't exist there.

[filming]

That's more reassuring than a sober guy telling me he doesn't exist should be. [He smiles, wry but thin.]

[werepanther]

You know what I meant. [He laughs, despite it all.]

Look man, I'm sure Sharpay'll still love you when you go back to New York. Time's iffy here - it always has, always will be - but it's not wherever you came from. And if she loves you there, then well... she will when you go back.

[filming]

[His smile freezes a little at that, not because he doubts the intention behind Tom's statement, but because the L-word hasn't come up for them yet, and given Sharpay's track record in SFA he doesn't entirely expect it to unless she's upset about something.]

Yeah, yeah, if we make it there we can make it anywhere and all that. [Pretty sure Sinatra wasn't talking about relationships, bro, but whatever makes you feel better.]
