Fourth wall mingle post

[For the regular denizens of Balamb Garden, it's an ordinary day...until more off-worlders start showing up, for only a few hours at a time. Unsure what to make of these more temporary visitors, the Garden faculty is holding off on registering them as cadets or offering them jobs.

[Maybe someone you know might turn up?]

Mod note, to reiterate:

4th wall characters can only be seen at certain hours of the day. They may appear for two hours a day, or four... or seen only in the early morning... the time doesn't matter to us, but they're not permanently here. They may return to Garden again through the rest of the month, but they're not around 24/7.

Like apped characters, 4th wall characters can't be ridiculously-sized. Transformers, Gundams, and similar concepts/characters will become human-sized (and in the case of mechas, not allowed altogether.)

Players (like you and me) are not allowed to visit Garden. We're breaking the 4th wall, not destroying it altogether!

Apart from this post, 4th wall characters are free to reply to open posts in witchesreign or open logs in concoursec. Apped players have the option of closing their posts to in-game characters only.

All BBS posts are locked to in-game characters only. 4th wall characters do not have access to any sort of logged in posts unless they hijack someone else's log-in---and in those cases, we need to know this beforehand.

For those unfamiliar with the setting, here is more info on Balamb Garden's facilities and layout. Additionally, some of the NPCs around and some player characters may be wearing Balamb Garden's cadet or SeeD uniform.

[This can't be real.

This can't, this.... Oof! That hug certainly felt real. Damian buries his head in Aang's shoulder, wrapping his arms around his friend as tightly as he could.]

You zift! What took you so long?

[Aang gratefully shifts into the hug more. It had been a long time for him, too.] What can I say? The Garden's magic isn't what it used to be.

Then maybe I should beat some sense into it sometime. [He laughs, finally able to look Aang in the eye as he stands on his tip-toes.]

Everything going okay in your world?

[Aang hesitates, thinking about it.] It's...weird being back there.

What about you, Damian? Are you okay here?

... Yeah, I guess.

[He doesn't want to tell the whole truth, that he's been working overtime since everyone else on the Disciplinary Committee left, but...] My twin's my roommate now. Whoever decided that must've been crazy.

Really? [Aang looks amused and surprised.] Didn't they think that was kinda strange?

[He saw you holding back, Damian. He will friendship it out of you later.]

Apparently not. [Day makes a face, wrinkling his nose.] So now I've got to listen to him whine about how my video games are the stupidest thing he's "ever seen in his life."

How is he your twin anyway? You are way nicer.

I have no idea. [SHRUG.] And I wouldn't call myself nicer, just less slagged.

I'd call you nicer. [Which he just did.]

So, wanna go have some fun?

Airbending? [WHY WAS THIS EVEN A QUESTION?] Definitely show me that!

Well, it's not exactly like your airbending...

[Now he's just kind of embarrassed.] But I tried to take this world's Aeroga and use it kind of like when I had your powers.

Really? That's so cool! [He's touched, so he beams at Damian.] You definitely have to show me that.

[bratbeyond]

If you really want to, I guess I could show you. [Damian's blushing, though he doesn't call any attention to it as he goes ahead and motions for Aang to follow him.]

Yes! [Aang fist-pumps in victory before following.]

[The path to the Training Center's the exact same, but Damian doesn't stop there.

Actually, he stops in a corner of the Quad, one where he's less likely to be seen. He takes a deep breath before slowly calling out:] Aeroga!

[Except it's different than casting a para-magic spell. Somehow, Damian's managed to channel the energy through his arms so that the wind pushes out from his fingers and towards the nearest fliers.

It's certainly not "real" air-bending, but considering what Damian's working with... it's pretty darn close.]

[Even if it's not real airbending, Aang is excited to see it.]

That's so cool! How did you think of that? [He's genuinely impressed. He probably wouldn't have been able to do that with magic without a lot of hard work.]

[bratbeyond]

[He's blushing furiously. Dangit, the one time his goggles could've actually hidden something...]

After you left, para-magic classes got kind of boring... and since I knew how to airbend from when I got superpowers...

[SHRUG.] I thought it'd be schway if I could bend para-magic.
