[For the regular denizens of Balamb Garden, it's an ordinary day...until more off-worlders start showing up, for only a few hours at a time. Unsure what to make of these more temporary visitors, the Garden faculty is holding off on registering them as cadets or offering them jobs.

[Maybe someone you know might turn up?]

Mod note, to reiterate:
4th wall characters can only be seen at certain hours of the day. They may appear for two hours a day, or four... or seen only in the early morning... the time doesn't matter to us, but they're not permanently here. They may return to Garden again through the rest of the month, but they're not around 24/7.
Like apped characters, 4th wall characters can't be ridiculously-sized. Transformers, Gundams, and similar concepts/characters will become human-sized (and in the case of mechas, not allowed altogether.)
Players (like you and me) are not allowed to visit Garden. We're breaking the 4th wall, not destroying it altogether!
Apart from this post, 4th wall characters are free to reply to open posts in witchesreign or open logs in concoursec. Apped players have the option of closing their posts to in-game characters only.
All BBS posts are locked to in-game characters only. 4th wall characters do not have access to any sort of logged in posts unless they hijack someone else's log-in---and in those cases, we need to know this beforehand.

For those unfamiliar with the setting, here is more info on Balamb Garden's facilities and layout. Additionally, some of the NPCs around and some player characters may be wearing Balamb Garden's cadet or SeeD uniform.

[Lightning shakes her head at that, seeing just how fake his smile is. If only Vanille is still here, and maybe not even her....how in all the worlds has he held it together this long? He must be made of tougher stuff than she thinks she is, because she knows she'd have fallen apart weeks ago.]

There's you. Besides, I have something you'll want back.

[She doesn't know if he somehow got it back once she'd left due to Time Compression and all that nonsense, but it's only a couple seconds later that she's put Serah's crystal tear back into his hand, looking up at him as she speaks.]

Remember what you told me? You need this more than I do right now.

Light...

[He folds his fingers around the crystal without looking, eyes shut. The fake smile vanishes, replaced a long few moments later with a real one as he opens his eyes to look back down at her.]

If I didn't know better, I'd think you were trying to steal the 'hero' title away from me.

[There. There's the Snow she knows. She almost smiles in relief, glad she was able to do something for him, but then he speaks and all ideas of that go flying out the proverbial window. Definitely Snow alright.

So she crosses her arms over her chest, giving him a look that borders on stern but is tempered by the quiet care she just showed him. He knows she cares; joking is just his way.]

Since when did taking care of family make a person a hero, Snow?

[He folds his arms in return, grinning.] It's the 'showing up in the nick of time' thing. You're developing a bit of heroic style. I might even say I'd rubbed off on you.

[Now he's REALLY teasing her.]

[Rubbed off on her? Maybe but she's not about to--oh. He's teasing her. Why is she surprised? Hard to say, but she tries to cover that with a small smirk.]

Maybe. I'm not sure that's a good thing, though.

So long as you don't try to punch anything whose ankles are taller than you are, I don't think you need to worry.

[She shakes her head at that; Snow's the only one who ever punched things that big...or the only one who tried, anyway. Lightning's not that reckless.]

I don't think that's going to be a problem. Avoiding Adamantoises is easy enough when you're not running headlong towards them.

Still hasn't been an issue here. Though with all these people suddenly showing up...

[With all these people showing up, who knows what else may come. And since she's not here to help him out....]

Try not to land yourself in the infirmary, alright? Serah might come back and I don't think you'd want her to see you there first thing.

Come on, Light, you know I can take a punch!

[Or two or three. Even if they knock him on his ass.]

It's not the punches I'm worried about, Snow.

[Getting a look now; does she have to remind him about that Adamantoise and how they nearly all got squashed again?]

[He softens a bit, at that.]

You know I'll be okay, Light. So long as I've got Serah to get back to, I won't let anything stop me.

[He softens, but she doesn't. It's nearly constant, the need to drive the fact that he's not alone home. Sure, she's not here anymore, but...]

You'd better not. You know what'll happen if you make Serah cry, don't you?

[Besides breaking his nose, Lightning would drag him out of where ever he'd gotten himself stuck. It was fact.]

Yeah, my heart would snap in two. Think I'll pass.

[He doesn't need a lecture... not when he loves Serah more than anything.]

I'll hold you to that.

[She knows he does, which is why that's all she'll say on the matter now. As it is, she hesitates for a second before she reaches up, putting a hand on his shoulder and squeezing in a small show of support. She can't do much else, after all.]

Take care of yourself, alright?

[He nods.]

For Serah's sake.

[And Lightning's, but, well, not gonna mention that. ]
