Fourth wall mingle post

[For the regular denizens of Balamb Garden, it's an ordinary day...until more off-worlders start showing up, for only a few hours at a time. Unsure what to make of these more temporary visitors, the Garden faculty is holding off on registering them as cadets or offering them jobs.

Mod note, to reiterate:

4th wall characters can only be seen at certain hours of the day. They may appear for two hours a day, or four... or seen only in the early morning... the time doesn't matter to us, but they're not permanently here. They may return to Garden again through the rest of the month, but they're not around 24/7.

Like apped characters, 4th wall characters can't be ridiculously-sized. Transformers, Gundams, and similar concepts/characters will become human-sized (and in the case of mechas, not allowed altogether.)

Players (like you and me) are not allowed to visit Garden. We're breaking the 4th wall, not destroying it altogether!

Apart from this post, 4th wall characters are free to reply to open posts in witchesreign or open logs in concoursec. Apped players have the option of closing their posts to in-game characters only.

All BBS posts are locked to in-game characters only. 4th wall characters do not have access to any sort of logged in posts unless they hijack someone else's log-in---and in those cases, we need to know this beforehand.

For those unfamiliar with the setting, here is more info on Balamb Garden's facilities and layout. Additionally, some of the NPCs around and some player characters may be wearing Balamb Garden's cadet or SeeD uniform.

[Say hi to one unexpected (but fully-clothed) Captain Jack. He'll probably say hi to you, and then ask what you're doing tonight. Well, he'd prefer not to stay the whole night because he did leave his team in the middle of a Dalek invasion and should probably be getting back to them now it's over, but maybe landing in this place full of people he's never flirted with before is a reward for his good karma... Haha, no, never mind.]

The Doctor's just caught sight of you, immediately turned around and started heading back to the library.]

[Oh no, it's not going to be that easy. Especially since Jack last saw the Doctor only about ten minutes ago, and there's a nonzero probability that this is his fault. He gives chase!]

Hey, Doctor! Just couldn't keep away from me, could you? What's going on?

Oh, only the fabric of time and space self-destructing. Again. Apparently sorcery. Not had much chance to work out how "sorcery" works yet, I haven't found a sorceress.

[Still walking, and still not looking!]

[Still riiiight behind him.] Sorcery? You can admit it when you just don't know once in a while. I won't tell anyone.

No, no. Really. Sorcery is what they're calling it.No idea what it actually is yet. And, well, different universe, different rules, so it might actually be sorcery!

...can't be that different though.

Hopping universes to come and see me now? Impressive. I'm flattered. [But mostly sceptical.] So if this isn't your fault, then whose is it?

[Swishes around, finally facing Jack, and points at him for... some reason? Emphasis?]

Now look, I was here first! And I'm pretty sure I don't cause space and time to be all squished together into a tiny ball of... broken... stuff. Not without putting effort into it! Probably!

I am the librarian in this school, and the time-squishing witch is somewhere all the way in the future! Which'd be fine if I had the TARDIS, but I don't.

A librarian now? Oooo, I could tell you a few things about librarians. [He is mostly trying to mess with the Doctor as payback for breaking his wriststrap again. Mostly.]

So... an enemy from the future pulling all of us here through space and time. This would be so much simpler if someone hadn't decided I'm not allowed a vortex manipulator.

Time's damaged enough already, we can't very well have someone hopping back and forth with a device that's not even calibrated to this particular universe, now, can we?

And yet if you had the TARDIS, it would be "fine".

[And Rose is just as confused and amused to suddenly end up at the Garden, but feels immediately relieved at seeing at least one familiar face upon seeing Jack. She approaches quickly, a smile on her face.] Jack! Finally, someone I know around here at least. Don't s'pose you know what the story is?

[She almost sounds like she didn't just say goodbye to him on the TARDIS literally minutes ago. Hmm.]

Sorry. Air breathable, gravity Earth normal, inhabitants all the prettier for including you. That's all I know.

[ninetenth]

Right. [Though she can't say she isn't amused and perhaps slightly flattered. It seems Jack knows as much about this place as she does - which is to say, next to nothing so far.] I'm sure we'll figure things out if we ask around and explore. But the last I remember was the cybermen and the Daleks, we were trying to stop them. [But she can't be sure what Jack last recalls if this is one of those timey-whimey situations.]

[Cybermen... she means Canary Wharf? Ah, crossed timelines. Better tread a little carefully.]

"We"? So the Doctor's missing. Typical. You think he's stuck somewhere around here too, or has he gone waltzing off without us again?

Well, dunno if he is here yet. For all I know he probably is, yeah? Should keep lookin', might find him.

Sounds like a plan. But what if he's not here?
