[For the regular denizens of Balamb Garden, it's an ordinary day...until more off-worlders start showing up, for only a few hours at a time. Unsure what to make of these more temporary visitors, the Garden faculty is holding off on registering them as cadets or offering them jobs.

Mod note, to reiterate:
4th wall characters can only be seen at certain hours of the day. They may appear for two hours a day, or four... or seen only in the early morning... the time doesn't matter to us, but they're not permanently here. They may return to Garden again through the rest of the month, but they're not around 24/7.
Like apped characters, 4th wall characters can't be ridiculously-sized. Transformers, Gundams, and similar concepts/characters will become human-sized (and in the case of mechas, not allowed altogether.)
Players (like you and me) are not allowed to visit Garden. We're breaking the 4th wall, not destroying it altogether!
Apart from this post, 4th wall characters are free to reply to open posts in witchesreign or open logs in concoursec. Apped players have the option of closing their posts to in-game characters only.
All BBS posts are locked to in-game characters only. 4th wall characters do not have access to any sort of logged in posts unless they hijack someone else's log-in---and in those cases, we need to know this beforehand.

For those unfamiliar with the setting, here is more info on Balamb Garden's facilities and layout. Additionally, some of the NPCs around and some player characters may be wearing Balamb Garden's cadet or SeeD uniform.

[Well, Ace can see Marco's doing okay. He just laughs. He's happy for Marco, really. He turns to face Grell... and thinks Marco is damn lucky because she's kinda hot. He bows slightly, trying to make a good impression.]

Yes, I'm Ace. Nice to meet you, miss. You're the lucky lady, I'm guessing? Ah, it's nice to meet you too, Espio.

That long? [He chuckles.] Well, you both have my thanks for watching over him for me.

[He raises his eyebrow a little, pointing to her tattoo.] That tattoo...

[Grell looks back at Ace, raising an eyebrow at his finger pointing.]

Hmm? [Then she realizes why he's pointing.] Oh, my tattoo? I got this not long ago. A bit before my birthday, I believe. So...five months ago.

[His face brightens into a smile.] Well, it's kinda late, but welcome to the family.

[sob he misses his tattoo.]

Such a sweetIe you are~!

[Marco can give him one, probably.]

[He scratches his cheek sheepishly.]

A-ah, thank you.

[Slight eyeroll.]

Are you done yet? Can I get a word in now?

[He chuckles.] Always glad to meet another brother, Espio.

[A nod.]

[Awkward grin - he barely knows him, the idea of being called a brother by someone he's practically only just met is a bit strange.]

No tattoo here, though.

[Well, Ace might catch a glimpse of what looks like one on his shoulder, but it's definitely not anything related to Whitebeard anything.]

[He shrugs. Hey, Ace is chill with this.] Eh, it's fine. Nakama are still nakama with or without the tattoo.

[Marco told him that. Quite a lot.]

Well, yeah. Just pointing out.

So, how long've you been stuck with birdbrain over there?

Hm...

well, I've been here nearly two years, which is about the same as Marco - if you ignore that trip home - but, I guess I didn't bother getting to know him before I roomed with Toby.

Don't ask me to remember when that was. I'd say well over a year, though.

Oh... Toby was the son I adopted. [Softly distant face.] Good kid, eh?

[Ruffles Ace's hair about getting hit on by Grell and how Ace is doing a good job not flirting too much back.]

... sorry, mate. [He gives him a one arm hug in return.]

[Hugs and leans on.]

Thanks. I think he'll at least be a lot stronger back home now. And happier maybe. [Not happier than the Garden, just happier with life.] You'd have liked him.

Just because someone might be better at home doesn't mean we can't miss them.

[He pats his back.] Wish I could meet him.

I wish you could too. If he ever shows up again...

Ah. He drew me a picture of Pops before. [Takes it out of his wallet to show Ace.] He's a good kid, eh.
