I certainly hope I won't have to continue fighting after suffering a concussion. Nasty things they are. I wouldn't recommend them.

Oh, and I DO expect an answer, because I refuse to go back to battle after this. Only a few people are aware of how much it pains me to make such a statement.

[Grell will be sitting in the cafeteria, a bit in a daze while she tries to sip her beloved orange juice. There is a bandage on the side of her head as she leans her chin into her hand, playing with the straw to her glass. She yawns, because wow, medication is pretty strong in this one.]

Hmph. If you expect me to sit by while someone has a serious injury, think again. Not liking the need to waste my time on these potions doesn't get me out of making them, and not wanting to shouldn't get you out of drinking them.

[SIGHS LOUDLY and leans her head onto her hand, with her elbow on the table.]

A few questions, then. What are the side effects of each concoction separately, as well as together, and how will it affect the medicine I have to take now?

The Anti-Swelling Solution occasionally deflates one's self-image slightly, but I believe you'll find that the three drops extra of Bomb Essence I've placed in will prevent that quite nicely. Skull-Strengthening solution causes the imbiber to become more stubborn and determined for a period. I doubt you'll notice a difference. No interactions with more, ah, mundane medicines whatsoever. They are potions, after all.

Now, what of this nausea?

Comes with the concussion, of course. Brain bouncing off the skull, it's bound to make a few other things go twitchy.

Of course. [She sighs and opens one vial, looking at it suspiciously before downing it. It may have been the skull crack potion thingie, but she still chokes on it. Okay, so she didn't drink all of it.]

What is this atrocious flavor?!

I'm afraid it's so universal as to practically be a law. Healing Potions rarely taste good. They're designed for effect.

Will it lose its usefulness when mixed with juice?

Not pumpkin, apple, or pear. I don't recommend citrus, though.

Excuse me, then. [She's going to get up and get some apple juice. These potions are gross.]

[Of course they are. They're good for you. They don't need to trick or entice you into drinking them.]

[Slughorn keeps a proprietary eye on her, making sure her exertion brings her no harm.]

[Grell does well enough to get up, walk over slowly, get her apple juice with little fight (most cadets have the decency to fear her), and come back. She plops down back in her chair and just pours the potion into her new glass.]

Bottom's up. [Well, it's more of sipping on it through a straw from her other glass of juice.]

Excellent, excellent. Now you needn't chug, but mind that you finish it all, and you should notice improvement within the hour. A good night's sleep will see you fit and well tomorrow, but I do recommend you keep exertion to a minimum until then!
