I certainly hope I won't have to continue fighting after suffering a concussion. Nasty things they are. I wouldn't recommend them.

Oh, and I DO expect an answer, because I refuse to go back to battle after this. Only a few people are aware of how much it pains me to make such a statement.

[Grell will be sitting in the cafeteria, a bit in a daze while she tries to sip her beloved orange juice. There is a bandage on the side of her head as she leans her chin into her hand, playing with the straw to her glass. She yawns, because wow, medication is pretty strong in this one.]

There's others suffering a lot worse than that on that island. No sympathy from this corner - as a SeeD, you should be looking out for the vulnerable ones, not yourself!

Don't give me that. You know full well I'd be on that island doing just that if someone hadn't banned me from setting foot on it.

I'm doing my part and following my assignment. Healing duty and playing errand-boy for the team isn't something I'm keen on, but it's better than sitting around refusing to do anything just because something whacked me on the head!

So what you're saying is that healthy cadets shouldn't be allowed to complete this mission because of their inexperience, but weathered SeeDs who sustain injuries should still go out in the field? What a double standard you have! 

You of all people should know that for me to voluntarily want to sit out from the rest of the mission must mean I'm not at one hundred percent. Had you not thought that not being at my best would put others in more danger? Had you bothered to ask the severity of my concussion?

More than likely no, you hadn't.  And I'm pretty sure you don't want me operating my weapon while medicated!

Also, in case you hadn't figured it out yet, you can forget about receiving my assistance with your little project, you prat!

It's the implication that your injuries - and here I note, you of all people can cope with them - somehow put you in a position worse off than some of the cadets who've been dragged back a bloody wreck and still have to go back out in a few days.

Oh, and let's not forget - you are competent. More than competent. If you got injured so badly you're actively whining, think about the kids in a position where they can barely even try to defend themselves. Everyone else has to deal with it, so you have to deal with it too.

I'm sure Zabala would see the risk you pose as part of the risks of being on a battlefield, and thus part of the whole shiny wonderful experience.

And before you pull the fact I'm not out again? Reminder: banned from participating.
