Awe man. I can't do this. Share a room with a girl?

[Tugging on her unruly hair, Masaki can't help but frown. Maybe it'd be better to request a new room. The last thing she needs right now is some stranger to start screaming because a boy came into her room without knocking. Geeze. Thinking she hears something coming from inside the room, she turns and bolts down the hallway at top speeds.]

[Masaki flinches a little at the mention of her roommate, which is understandable since she's supposed to be that roommate.]

It's fine, I got it. Sounds like you're kinda busy anyway. Could you tell me where to find those computers they told me about though?

I wanted to use the library ones though, seemed like a better idea than just sitting around somewhere.

But everyone usually picks up a laptop. It's much more useful than having to go to a computer all the time.

I have a laptop! I just don't want to use it yet, not until I get the room stuff situated first and that sorta thing.

Oh. [ that sounds reasonable. ] I can take you to the library, if you'd like. I'm, uh... [ her cheeks flush a bit ] ...not very good at giving directions, you see.

Nah, it's alright. Sounds like you're... busy. So I'll just find it myself so you can get back to the stuff you were doing.

Are you sure? [ Thumbelina reaches up and removes a flower from her hair. ] I kinda have to go to the library anyways, and someone to talk to while I walk would be really nice.

Guess if you're going there too, it'd be okay.

[Doesn't make the situation any less awkward, but that's pretty much just how her life works anyway.]

[ Thumbelina bounces on the balls of her feet, happy. ] Wonderful! Oh, let me get some proper shoes! [ She rushed back into the room, then reappeared a minute later, humming and tightening the laces of her red tennis shoes. ]
