[In an effort to expand from posts about archery, today Artemis is in a Martial Arts classroom. She can be found wailing away at a training dummy like it had just kicked her puppy or something. Honestly she prefers training with other people, so anyone is more than welcome to interrupt her. She doesn't believe in pulling her punches though, so be warned.

Let's talk classes. Got any favorites or a class you can't stand? For me it's Biology, it's just as bad here as it was back home.

[It has nothing to do with the fact that it's Wally's favorite class, nope of course not.]

If there's a class you know you're going to hate, do you put it off or take it as soon as you can?

I think it's a bit too early for me to have chosen a favorite. But as for your second question...

Well, it depends.

My home before I came here was very peaceful, so I was extremely reluctant to be taking weapons courses. However, it's a prerequisite for further coursework required to graduate with a specialization in para-magic of any kind, so I thought I would get it out of the way first.

On the other hand, something confusing-sounding such as Limit Break Theory would probably be best suited to being taken later, once you have more of a grasp on how things in this world work.

To be honest, though, the weapons training instructor isn't sure what to do with me.

If you want to specialize in para-magic, then the para-magic classes will probably be your favorite. Unless you hate them, and then I'd change your specialization if I were you.

Not everyone had reasons to fight before they got here, your instructor should be used to dealing with that sort of thing by now.

I decided to go for that because magic of any kind is my special talent. I don't imagine para-magic will be too difficult. I might even get to do something never-before-seen with it.

And the problem with the instructor is less that and more how I use them. I'm a quadruped with telekinesis, so I've been using that to wield most things. It kind of unnerves them.

That's one reason to pick a specialty, if you already have a specialization you might as well stick with it.

[Which is the truth, but she's going to leave out the fact that this is the second time she's taken boxing.]

My favorites were Home Economics [which she took well before Pinkie and Champloo's time] and World History. Cultural Studies was really interesting too.

I definitely put off all the classes I didn't want to take, though. [Mornings of what should have been her last quarter were composed entirely of classes she'd put off.] Physics was so hard...

Home Ec? Bet you took that before the current teachers took over. Cultural studies seems like it'd be okay. Maybe not for people from here, but it'd explain a lot to us offworlders.

Good thing I stopped putting off all the boring classes then, that'd make for a pretty sad last quarter.

Yeah, I had one of the native instructors. She was good with the chicobos. And that's exactly why I took cultural studies! I like learning about the way people live and how and why things are different and the same to what I'm used to.

I tried making up for it with interesting electives... Photography was nice.

That's what I'm doing, but I'm still going to try and keep it spread out anyway.

I only just arrived, but I ended up putting off certain classes until later because of my previous military training. I didn't want things to be too easy for me. The most interesting-looking class for me would be Introduction to Para-magic and GFs, while the least interesting one would be the Speech and Conduct class.

Military training or not, I'm sure you'd be surprised how tough some of the classes can be. Not that I'd know from experience or anything.

[There are very few people who actually know about Artemis' physical ability, but she's slowly starting to really show her colors. Didn't want to come clean on the "Yeah, I'm a hero" bit without knowing what she was getting herself into first.]

Speech and Conduct really does sound like a drag though, can't argue with that one.

I'm saying it wouldn't be hard, just that I might have an easier time than most people. That's the reason put off certain classes in my first quarter.

I understand it's mandatory but I'm just not interested in classes like that. But seeing as I should take at least one class I don't like, just to get it out of the way I chose Speech and Conduct.

If I knew I wasn't going to like it, I would take it as soon as I could. It's better to get it over with, and fast. My least favorite class was Home Ec.

I meant things like para-magic classes that won't be worth a damn once we're finally out of here, but dancing's pretty pointless too. Not looking forward to that one.

Parasite fighting crime? I don't think so. [Not that the question even makes sense.] It was mostly pretty boring, especially since I had to take biology at my other school last year.
