No, there were a lot of different species. There's places that are dominated by just one, like the Hive, but on Meridian most places had a really mixed population.

There weren't all that many chameleons in New Tek, when I think about it, and none that I knew personally.

I worked with an armadillo, crocodile, and a bee. Then there's hedgehogs, weasels, foxes, sharks, dogs, pigs, snakes, and so on.

There's more elsewhere in the world! For chameleons, New Tek is kinda cold - most prefer warmer climates. For humans, well... They're just really uncommon in general.
