[Raven is not a very talkative person, and she is still rather unfamiliar with computers despite having been in the Garden for months. However, she has had this question nagging in the back of her mind for some time, and she's not sure where else she could ask.

I have questions.

There are people here who aren't human, dwarf or elf. Then there are those who look human, but turn into something else. Half-Monsters.

Is this common?

Second question. I haven't seen dwarves and elves here yet. Do they exist?

Well, I didn't hide mine from my Pops, but he had a similar curse to me so maybe it doesn't count.

That's the curse. If I show I'm too close, people disappear.

Losing people I care about... it's too risky to look for something that probably doesn't exist!

Every curse has a way around it. Even mine.

If you worry too much about losing the people you love most, you'll never get to fully enjoy what time you do have. Strong people would rather take that risk on themselves anyway, eh?

I lost my Pops in the worst way possible, and everyone has to go sometime, but it's what you do with it in the meantime that matters most.

To get close to people and make them disappear just because I might find something, that's too cruel and selfish. I won't let my Dad vanish and probably die because of me.
