[Kanaya can be seen walking through the Garden corridors while trying to find the entrance to the female dorms. It's a bit difficult to go by unnoticed when you're literally glowing while wearing a red dress, but Kanaya acts as if nothing is out of the ordinary while she glances from her surroundings to the map she has been given, and then back to her surroundings again, trying to find her way in this strange new place.]

[She sees her from afar before she even realizes who it is at first, thinkpan aggravatingly slow to connect the pieces. She vaguely wonders why the bright glow of Kanaya's skin is familiar when it shouldn't be (when did Fussy Fangs start glowing?), but she doesn't let herself think about it right now. The holes in her memory weren't something she took time out of her busy days to contemplate.

Quickly, she makes her way up behind the glowing troll as swift and quiet as possible before moving to poke her sides with each index finger. A grin sat wide across her face.]

Kanaaaaaaaa~ya!

[Unfortunately, Vriska's cheerful sneak attack doesn't have the desired effect: having spent so much time fighting since entering their SGRUB session, Kanaya's reflexes have become sharper and faster, and her rainbow drinker transformation made them even better. As soon as she feels the unexpected touches to her sides, Kanaya steps away and twists her body in one single graceful movement, dropping every item in her hands except for her lipstick, which is just as quickly turned into the bloodied chainsaw. It happens much too fast, and before she can realize it's Vriska, Kanaya assumes a fighting stance in front of her, holding her chainsaw in place, as if to defend herself from an attack that doesn't come.

It doesn't take her long to realize that the one who just triggered a chain reaction of self defense is her former moirail and unrequited matesprit. Her hair is much shorter, certainly, but she would recognize those horns-- and that grin-- anywhere. Her eyes aren't blank, and that surprises her a lot more than seeing Vriska in this place; she expected to find her in dream bubbles, not somewhere else, and most certainly not here.

Her chainsaw turns back into her lipstick but Kanaya doesn't move: she's too busy staring at the other troll, wide eyed.]

Vriska...?

[She stumbles back and away from the chainsaw's edge, careful not to let it touch her because fuck.

Someone was a little on edge today. Vriska just stared at Kanaya even after she put away the chainsaw, but tried to regain her composure by smoothing out the fabric of her skirt.]

Holy hell, Fussy Fangs! If I didn't know better I would have thought you were really trying to hurt me! Cut that shit out already, jeez!

[The motion of Vriska's hands smoothing out her skirt-- that's right, she's wearing a uniform and a skirt, of all things-- distracts her slightly, but not for long.]

I apologize. It was not my intention to harm you or even attempt to do so, but your touch was much too sudden and unexpected, specially given your absolute silence while approaching me. I didn't...

[She stops speaking. There are many ways to finish that phrase: I didn't think it would be you was the most logical option, followed closely by I didn't know you were here and I didn't expect to see you alive after stumbling upon your corpse.

The anger she'd felt hours earlier-- when she found three particular trolls and interfered with their showdown-- has since then deflated (for the most part), but even with Vriska alive and seemingly unharmed, she can't shake the image of her body and all that cerulean blood out of her thinkpan. And so, instead of voicing her thoughts, she asks:]

I did not injure you, did I?

[There was something gnawing at the edge of her mind, something she was forgetting... but she brushed it off. Surely it wouldn't be that important right?] Of course not! Come on, what do you take me for? A wussy like Pupa?

[She crossed her arms under her chest and flashed her a trademark smile.] So what has you so on edge?
