Valentines events

Because we've been posting here a lot lately, both the host/ess clubs and the movie screening are going to be in this post under different threads.
  • Host and hostess clubs: Cafeteria; boys 0800-1200, girls 1330-1630.
  • Movie screening: Quad; setting up from 2000, film starts 2100 and runs about an hour and a half.

    [Still, he's grinning as he gets up.] Where are they? I think I could probably make it for us.

    In the kitchen. [She gets up to lead him there, waving off a protesting GFC member with, "He's with me," before she looks around for the tea leaves. They really do have quite a few varieties of tea...]

    [Once they get there, Damian takes a while to look around for the tea leaves. He's not a big tea person, so he spots the masala chai leaves pretty easily.

    Finding a strainer, he then takes that along with a tea kettle, some cinnamon sticks, and two mugs onto the counter.

    It's obvious he's nearly forgotten how to do this, but Damian's slowly brewing tea for them through sheer willpower.]

    ... Did you have a lot of tea at home, senpai?

    Um... Kind of.

    [Her home world, yes, not so much her home timeplane. She tries to clarify without getting into the time traveling thing, as she watches him go for it (she wouldn't have thought of the cinnamon sticks):] My mom's idea of tea was from a bottle [most food and drink is pre-packaged by her time], but I learned more about how to make it with a friend. [She didn't know what to do the first time she saw a tea bag...]

    [Pre-packaged food? Day wrinkles his nose at the thought as he boils the water, then adding the cinnamon sticks and teabags into the kettle.]

    Your mom can't cook? That's really slagged.

    Mine was the best... [He's smiling just at the thought.] She said she'd teach me when I got older and had to impress girls, but well. That probably isn't happening.

    Cooking's not very common when I'm from. She'd be surprised I can do it. [Mikuru's still a little surprised herself sometimes.

    [Speaking of...]     Have you taken home economics? [She forgets which subjects he's done...]

    [She nods.] If you want, I could give you the recipes from when I took it - my instructor was from this world, so it wasn't as crazy as Instructor Pie and Instructor Champloo seem to be.

    [Mikuru puts her hands around the teacup, but doesn't drink from it just yet.]

    Yeah, it's no trouble! I think I might have some of them in Japanese as well: I took it during my first semester here, and translating them kind of helped sometimes.

    [She smiles, taking a small notepad out of her...idk, tucked over her apron waistband? This stupid costume doesn't have pockets - and writing on it; it's something along the lines of "chai tea: CINNAMON STICKS".]
