[BBS] What's in a Date?

Since we all come from various different backgrounds, I'm curious as to what everyone of age deems a good date?

Are there any cliches where you're from that you want to avoid? Or perhaps customs that are absolutely required? When you want to go formal, do you prefer big and splashy or something quiet and intimate? Of course generally it's best to tailor such a thing to the person you're dating, but what if they're not sure? Do you bring a gift, and what kind, or is that too over the top? Perhaps something from the heart is better.

Anyone got particular favorite date ideas they've been on or wish-dates to fulfill?

So what kind of drawings do you have? A little bit of everything?

I would say so. My drawing interests change every now and then... Ah, recently I have enjoyed drawing people around the Garden. ...The genre varies.

What sort of creativity are we speaking of? I can assure you I do just that.

Ah, I don't know. I'd say your favorite, but if that's anything? Maybe something with ships? [Shrugs.] I love a good story. My Dad always shared them with me. It's like constellations, eh? Nice to see what people make of them. Or your takes on legends perhaps?

[Pausing. Do you want to see tentacle porn with ships Marco... No he doesn't open his sketchbook just yet, he just looks a bit thoughtful.]

Ships? I do enjoy drawing stories... Ah, I have many legends but I am not sure what type Marco-san would like to hear the most.

Oh ah anything! Adventure, romance, things with phoenixes or birds, eh? [He's actually pretty excited.]

[He moves to sit down somewhere, looking thoughtful.]

I could illustrate such things, but that would take time. Ah, especially if it were an original work-- though if you are interested in stories that exist from my home, it would take less time.

Yeah, I mean the stories from home. [Grabs a seat with him.]

I have covered many stories on Hou-ou-- or I suppose, the phoenix-- so perhaps something else...

Ah, Itsumaden? It is a bit more grim. [He starts drawing, but it's not quite clear yet]

Itsumaden?

It's bird-like. [The picture might be more clear now. It's a human head, but with a bird beak and wings, plus bird legs and feet with extra sharp talons. Its body is serpentine though.]

It is said that in 1334, it began to appear in the night sky over the capital's ceremonial hall and cry "itsumademo!" It is said it was born from all of the spirits abandoned dead, and would fly around, crying for them in sympathy.

Oh. That does seem rather sad. [Nod.]

Some say its cry causes despair. Others, however, claim that it induces inspiration.

There were travelers that reported being helped to find their way by it, as well, or helped to avoid dangerous situations... [drawing some flames coming out of its mouth yup]

Eh, really? [Leans on his head.] Like what?

I am not sure of details... It's rumored they have mysterious powers that are able to help with that sort of thing.

Neat. I wouldn't mind that job I suppose. Although being a phoenix is better. Of course.

Is that so? What is the job of a phoenix?
