[ Matthew hadn't been back long. He was still dressed in his SeeD uniform from the mission and was pacing somewhat nervously down the halls.

He had a note in his hand, the one from the headmaster about the disappearing offworlders. That never boded well. There was little to be done about Time Compression but he would at least keep his eyes open for anything suspicious.

And hopefully he could give a hand to any new cadets without them flipping out over these apparent disappearings. Nothing like a school full of panic.

At least he had some time to get his lesson plans together for the new term. He'd been super late getting back. (He fell asleep on the way back and somehow wound up across the continent oops.) and so he had to take these small silver linings where he could. ]

[There's a familiar face he hadn't seen in a while. Cue Tom casually waving at him.] Matt! Hey!

[Matt pulls his attention from the note to look up. Of course once he recognized the other he broke out into a wide grin.]

Tom! It's good to see you!

You too! [grins, walking closer to bridge the gap] Back from a mission early?

Early, late, y-you know.

[Very late. Ahem.]

But it looks like I got lucky and the term got pushed back, or else I might have missed the first week.

[Japan is probably very focused on thoughts. Things like class schedules, being stuck here, time in general...

And so obviously that's why he passes by Canada without a second glance. R-right.

It couldn't possibly be that he doesn't recognize him at first.]

[At least Canada was paying a vague bit of attention and was on the look out for the other countries now that he'd bumped into Greece.]

[It takes a minute though that he realizes who he just walked by.]

Eh? [He turns around at that, looking a bit flustered. Oh... it's... um.

He bows.]

Forgive me! I did not notice you there.

[Smiles and --oh return bow! He remembers these diplomatic things.]

That's okay. Ah ... [The way he's looking at him]

Y-You don't know who I am, do you?

[neutralchaotic]

[Walks into his office, as the door was open, and gives him a salute. Always so formal.]

Instructor Williams.

[He never remembers to shut it. Also his office is a mess and he was trying to fix it up a bit when Shadow came in.]

[He stands back up from a file cabinet and gives the hedgehog a polite smile in return, waving off the salute.]

Shadow. You, ah, know you can just call me Matt.

[He doesn't mind the mess. He's probably seen worse.]

Uh...right. [That will take some time to adjust to.]

What made you want to teach? [Sits in a chair nearby.]

[Pauses at that. He looks thoughtful.]

Garden came to me about the job sometime ago. I guess I took it because it was ...something I'd never really done before.

[Shakes his head a bit.]

I thought maybe I wouldn't be too bad at it. Why?

[How likely is it for Canada to be in/near the training center? Egypt's there. Sort of. He's standing at the entrance, in cadet uniform with a rifle strapped to his back, staring at the sign contemplating going inside.

The first time he was here didn't go so well, hence the hesitation. Robin thought he needed help (he didn't) and busted his plans for training. Fighting alongside a child? No way in hell.]

[Fairly possible! He is walking around trying to get a feel for the Garden again when he passes by the training center. Oh boy did he have memories of this place. S-Sigh.]

[Oh but. That person standing there looked kind of familiar. He was on the look out for the countries Greece mentioned, after all. He tilts his head and approaches.]

[Egypt's shoulders tense up the slightest bit, alarmed. Someone just called out his not-human name, and it definitely didn't sound like Greece or Damian. He turns in place, looking for who it was.

The face and glasses catch his attention. At the same time... the SeeD uniform throws him off somewhat. No one else seems to be within earshot, so—]
