[A SeeD stands in the middle of the Quad, holding a clipboard as he addresses all the attendees of the event.]

Welcome to the first event of the Sponsorship Games, the 'Dares Challenge'! This challenge will test how far you will go to help your team succeed in the Sponsorship games. Here is how it will work;

Each member of a team has been randomly assigned a number. Depending on whether the Dare is an individual or team-centric challenge, a number from each team will be selected for these players to complete the assigned dare. The dare must be completed in order to win points for their team; failure to complete the dare will result in no points being awarded for the player's team.

Every dare can win a team a maximum of ten points; points will be distributed according to how well the Dare was carried out. This can depend on how creative the dare was done, if only part of it was completed, how well it was completed and other criteria.

The first team who manages to complete all their dares will be the the winners of the challenge.

Two hours will be given to all participants to fulfill their dares. Good luck to everyone!

[A whistle is blown, before the SeeD begins to recite the numbers and dares.]

Spin around in the middle of the cafeteria with a hand pointing out. After 10 spins, open your eyes and confess your undying love to the person you're pointing to.

[spinning sure makes her dizzy! Gabs counts to ten slowly before stopping in place and holding out her arm.]

Alright! I love you... whoever I'm pointing to.

...What?

[Oh come on! He'd just walked up to watch! Serah's gonna kill him!]

[Oh good lord, aren't there rules against this thing? Gabriella blushes, but walks up to him and holds out her hand]

Haven't you ever had someone declare her love for you before, Instructor? [she nervously smiles] I love you more than the ocean's wide.

[HER EXPRESSION KINDA SAYS OTHERWISE.]

Uh. Yeah, my fiancee kind of makes a habit of doing so...

[Snow: fearsome and unflappable in battle. WAY OUT OF HIS ELEMENT here.]

[It's okay, Gabriella kind of is too! She's going to finish the dare by gently taking his hand and kissing it.] Well, your fiancee's one very lucky girl. What most girls wouldn't give for someone as strong and dashing as you...!

[she can deal with this. It's acting. Kind of. Except she hopes she'll never take his class because this is kind of embarrassing too.]

However lucky you think she is, I'm the lucky one to have her.

I -- the interest is flattering, but... I'm sorry.

[He's totally thinking this is serious. It never even occurs to him to think that a dare might have included something like this. Sucker.]

No, don't apologize. [this's genuine; Gabs shakes her head as she turns to leave] There's all kinds of love--mine just happens to be admiring and totally platonic.

I'll see you around, Instructor. I hope you and your fiancee have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

This really isn't a funny dare...

[But she is determined not to lose! So Katara closes her eyes tight, and begins spinning aroun din the cafeteria. Ten spins later (and more than a little dizzy), Katara's body stops as her hand points out. She takes a deep breath before opening her eyes. Who could she be pointing to...?]

[She's pointing at Mikuru, who, not having heard the dares, is rather surprised to have a stranger pointing at her.]

[Well, this is awkward. But a dare is a dare, and Katara isn't about to give up! So she walks over to the girl, looking rather embarrassed as she stops before her.]

You-- you're really pretty!

[Mikuru blushes.]

Thank you...!

[Katara is blushing even redder.]

You're so pretty, I can't help but fall in love with you!

[Mikuru's jaw drops, and she gazes out the nearest window to the sky. She believes Katara completely and is taken aback for it. But they've never met before now-- She doesn't like girls-- Why would anyone like someone as useless as her-- But she likes someone at home--

[Mikuru passes out.]

Katara did not expect such a response. Seeing the girl faint, Katara immediately kneels by her side and tries to wake her.]

Hello? Hello! Are you okay?

[It takes Mikuru a moment to come around, and when she does, she looks up at Katara woefully. As if she hadn't embarrassed herself enough, she passed out?]

... I'm sorry, I can't return your feelings...

[Oh-- this girl thought that she was being serious?

Looking more embarrassed than ever, Katara shakes her head and waves her hand.]

Oh, it's alright! It was just for the 'Dares Challenge'-- I had to declare the first person I saw in the cafeteria. I hope that didn't surprise you too much...

Oh!

[And now Mikuru feels really stupid. Not to mention oddly disappointed. It's not that she liked Katara or anything, but the first time someone tells her they love her, it's for a dare? Aw, man.]

I... I hope you win your challenge...

[Katara really does feel bad with how Mikuru seems to visibly slump when she tells her that it's all for a dare. She gives the girl a small smile though, and tries to make her feel a little better.]

Thanks. But you really are pretty, just so you know!

[Mikuru manages a smile.] Thanks.
