[bbs] heartbending, get ready for it

So. Valentine's Day. What is it?

Is it really that important that the main lobby of Garden is being dressed in red and pink colors? Is the food in the cafeteria safe to eat?

I'm not sure if it's normal or not for my food to be shaped like hearts either...

To celebrate teamwork? Something to unify us? Hell if I know. It was just fun.
werepanther: ([tom] is that so?)

Don't get so bogged down by the "why's." I know it's hard to lose yourself in the holiday, but it's better than ignoring it.

Also: it doesn't have to be a girl. Most people do it for their girlfriends, but you can give sisters friends gifts too.

Chill. Different countries have different traditions--I'm American, so guys give stuff to girls. In Japan, it's reversed, and girls give guys stuff.

Since this place's a cultural pot anyways, I suggest you do what you want to do. No one's really going to care in the end.

To try something new? You might as well.

Though I want to try celebrating the Summer Solstice now. We never did that back home.

Some people might, but I never did. The holidays in my world were more along the lines of Independence Day and Christmas and stuff.

Pretty much. One of these days, someone should make a giant Holiday calendar and term list. It'd help everyone out.
