As a computer scientist specialist in training, I'm amused that with all this technology at our disposal, we STILL have to type out our names when we make BBS posts.

Because who will really remember cadet numbers?

I can't be the only one noticing this.

The issue is: why are we STILL typing out our names for each and every post or comment we make?

Example A being your comments so far.

We can capture those pesky GFs and share them with all of Garden easily, but we're still so behind with using actual names and not numbers. Or why not BOTH? OR! Why not give us an option to use either?

Most cadets are more vocal about the use of numbers and not names. The option's up to you, however, it's preferred that names are used instead.

[Squall doesn't actually see the issue in using the names over the numbers; they're easier on the staff, that's all.]

Good. I'd hate to waste time with learning all about these...computers and not use the skills. It would be a good project!
