[It's lunch time in the cafeteria and Akiela is currently sitting by her lonesome at a table with several books sprawled across the surface.  Clearly, classes have hit her hard.

Very hard.  She's practically slumped over the table in a dead faint.  You might even think she's sleeping... if it weren't for the tiny fact that she seems to be talking to herself.]

Yes... and no.

He says we come from two different versions of the same world. In my world Ace was a pirate in my crew and one of my best friends. In his world he was a marine who hates pirates like me and wants us all to burn. So, I'll always consider him a friend, and he would rather I just burn.

I think so. I'm more worried that I push him away even by trying. When I first met Ace in my world he was trying to kill Pops, eh. We just had bets for how long it would take. So Ace hating me just for my connections is nothing new.

It's not hard. People see what they want to see and once that happens, it's very hard to change that view.
