Yeah, but they're not any weirder than most pirates or Marine officers. ... Except for Doflamingo, he's just a freak. From all I've seen and heard, Jinbei's probably the most normal of the lot.

Pretty sure 'justice pirate' is an oxymoron. And just because you like him doesn't mean he's normal. Just means you like him, is all.

I have, yes. It was rather my point. And even if my kids wanted to be marines, I'd be proud of them for being strong enough to find their ambitions and follow it.

It would be kind of hard for them to be Marines when they had a bounty on them. If you pirates had any real love for your kids, you either wouldn't breed, or you'd ditch them as babies.

Garp? He didn't raise me. Besides, you're hurting them just by being affiliated with them. You're forcing them into a lifestyle they may not even want, but just because it's a life you enjoy, you're fine with it.

I don't hold a lot of faith in blood lines. The descendants can wind up entirely different. [Piercing look.]

As for prejudices just because of my name, it'd likewise be their choice to keep it or not. There will always be prejudices from weak or easily scared people who think in ignorant ways. Whether for devil fruit users, fishmen, strength or something as inane as looks and gender or career. I could only hope to protect them and raise them to believe in themselves and not try to make a whole world like them when such a thing is impossible.

It's nothing to do with blood. It's everything to do with raising a kid as your own when certain assholes will see them as easy targets.

I was fortunate enough to be raised by one, and I had Garp's and Sengoku's protection. I really doubt any of your kids would be that lucky.
