[The dino isn't going to go down without a fight and whips around hitting Ken with its tail, sending him flying towards on of the trees. Ken rolls over onto his knees and rubs his back.]

Oww... That was smart.

[While Ken is recovering from the tail whip, the T-Rexaur takes notice of the person watching and decides to bail out on its fight with Ken to run towards them, roaring.]

[Uh oh.]

Hey, are you alright? [But even as she says that, she's tugging her spear free of its catches, which unlock easily. Swinging the double headed polearm in front of her, she crouches low, eying the charging beast before leaping into the air and... disappearing.

The T-Rex is left to gaze about in confusion as she lands behind it softly, her eyes going immediately to Ken.]

Anything broken? [The diversionary tactic won't last long, already it's starting to turn at the sound of her voice.]

I'm... fine.

[Ken's still rubbing his back but gets up properly and goes to pick up his spear to where it had fallen when he was tossed aside. That was definitely going to be a bruise tomorrow if not something worse. Oh well, its to be expected. T-Rexaurs were suppose to be hard.]

Damn dinosaur, I'll get you for that.

Mind if I pitch in?

[She's grinning as she says that, even as the T-Rex turns and gives a fearsome growl.]

No, I don't.

[Using his spear as a temporary crutch as he starts to cast a healing spell. That should ease some of the pain.]

[It was a courtesy question, mostly. With the go-ahead, she'll move forward while you take care of your wounds, placing herself between Ken and it. At least until he's done spell casting.

When it lunges forward, presumably to take off a chunk of her body from the top, she dodges to the side, just barely and takes a whack at it. Predictably, the side swipe bounces harmlessly off the dinosaur's hide and she's forced to duck another lunge of it's great big jaw.]

Don't suppose it has a weakness? Like bash it on the toe and watch it scamper away?

[After the spell is cast, Ken stands up a little straighter than before as he watches her take on the dino rather with great agility. He definitely needs to train more if he wanted to be able to move like that.]

I remember reading that it was weak to ice. I don't have any of those spells unfortunately.

[Running full speed and using his spear as a slingshot, Ken pole-vaults himself towards the T-Rexaur kicking it square in the jaw landing on the other side of it.]

...but its health should be really low. A few more hits and it'll be down for good.

We'll do it the hard way then. [As the T-Rex turns around, trying to follow Ken as he attacks, Akiela barely has time to brace herself as it swings its tail at her, smacking her in the side. Her greaves leave tracks in the dirt as she goes skidding. Only when she stops, does she pause to take a breath to fill battered lungs, unable to keep from gaining a new respect for Ken. Even fully covered in armor, she'll feel that one tomorrow.

With its back to her, she takes this chance to move forward and sweep her spear in an arc. With both proper footing and the assurance of not having to dodge those sharp teeth, her blade strikes true this time, carving a deep slash in the hide.]

The hard way... Hmm, I wonder--

[Ken stands his ground as he watches Akiela attack the T-Rexaur and mulls over her words. According to the books he had been reading, Kala-Nemi was now something called a "Guardian Force" and summoning it is different from how he used to. No more need for that Evoker of his.

So, Kala-Nemi should be able to take out this dino with a breeze...right?]

I'm... going to try something. So stand clear!

[More mage tactics? Akiela's eyes flicker to him, wondering what he could possibly have up his sleeve. But, if he's been here longer, odds are he'll know more about combat in this world than she will.]

Understood! [Sweeping her weapon out in front of her, forcing the T-Rex to step back, she begins to pull back, holding her weapon close to her body, ready to strike if it pursues.]

[It was honestly weird trying to summon his Persona-turned-GF without his Evoker in hand, but the motion he took remained the same. His hands folded across his chest and he look down at them, half expecting to see the barrel of the gun.]

Come, Kala-Nemi.

[Then with a bright light and electric sparks, it appeared behind him. Seeing it for more than just a fleeting moment was certainly new and Ken completely awestruck by the sheer size of it. He remembered how big it was back home, but it seemed to grown when he came here. It dwarfed the T-Rexaur and with another blast of blinding light and familiar glyphs on the ground, the dino vanished instantaneously.]

[Crisped.]

[Charred to the point it was completely eradicated. Great Goddess, she was just going to start treating every child with a weapon in hand like a hero. As it was, she carefully straightened and, after ensuring no other monsters had snuck up on them while they'd been occupied with the T-Rex, twirled it once before sliding it into its catches on her back. That completed she glanced at Ken and gave a low whistle.]

Didn't need my help after all.

[His head was reeling from the summoning, which was a very new experience. Ken never thought that it'd make his thoughts so disjointed, fortunately the feeling eventually faded away and he approached Akiela.]

I wouldn't have fought it if I didn't think I'd win-- Thanks for the help.

[She leans over slightly, placing her hand on her hip in a casual manner, making it seem as if she's adjusting her posture for a more comfortable position. In reality, it's so she can shake his hand without straining either of their arms. The gesture is practiced, mostly because she's spent a life time meeting and talking to people shorter than her. It's also an utter nightmare when she tries to shake hands with Taru Tarus, who only come up to her knees.]

It was an honor to fight with you. I'm Akiela.

It's nothing.

[Ken tries hard not to be too awestruck by her height, but she definitely has to be one of the tallest "people" that he's ever encountered. He smiles a little before giving a short but still very polite bow.]

Nice to meet you miss Akiela, I'm Ken Amada. You can call me by either name.

Ken, if you don't mind. Sounds easier to say. [The bow makes her smile a little, if only because it's been a while since she met someone so polite. Manners are often a rarity in the circles she travels with.]

Mind if I ask what that spirit you called forth was?

That's fine.

[Ken pauses for a moment to try and think of a good way to describe his Persona or former-Persona-turned-GF-yet-still-a-Persona Persona...]

Spirit? That wasn't a spirit... That was Kala-Nemi.

... was it a summon?

[She didn't think he was a summoner but she's starting to get the idea not everyone is bound by the decorum of disciplines in her world. Such as the fact that a summoner would never be caught wielding a spear.]

[Well that tells her various things. One, that he's not from this world and two, it was a transitioned power. ... actually wait, she doesn't get that last part.]

Did that power change when you came here? [Suddenly, she's very worried.]

It's really hard to explain. I'm not even sure what it means.

[He's really struggling to find the words to explain it.]

Where I'm from Kala-Nemi is something known as Persona. A part of myself... After coming here there are things that are called "Guardian Forces" and that is what it has become.

So... a manifestation of your... soul? [She's trying here, she really is, but her mind has wandered to her wyvern and if it's okay.] Does that happen to every extension of a person, no matter what?

Yeah, or more like a manifestation of my personality.

I'm not sure about that. I haven't been here too long myself.

That's... new. [She knows certain people can connect with other entities on a spiritual level but... to have a physical representation of you in some other form is completely foreign to her. So, for simplicity's sake of not blowing up her mind, she'll pretend it's a summon and that Ken's a summoner.]

Newly arrived too, huh? [She goes for an encouraging smile because, really, after seeing you fight, treating you like a lost kid isn't going to go over well. She can feel it.]

Sort of. I've been here almost for two weeks.
