[Still though, he feels lost. Normally he'd tell Thatch that. Only Thatch, or at least using some code only Thatch knew, but now he's trying to weigh it with everything else. Thatch wanted to be his first mate and so his job was also keeping Marco calm, just as they'd always done anyway. But Marco's Pops and Marco always took care of things that would frustrate the other without telling each other in order to keep everything running smoothly. Was that how it was here?]
