BBS/Action (current day)
Hey, Cutie. Thanks for the bento! It was ridiculously adorable of you.
Love, Thatch.

Re: [Action]
[he leans down and rests his chin on Marco's head, rubbing the scruff a bit against the bald parts. Such a weird damn head]
I'd say both--I think I'm going to get him that blanket I saw in Balamb Town the other day. It has bubbles and seaweed on it. [and more importantly, it was king sized] And maybe a shower cap.
[Action] 1/2
All right, I'll keep thinking.
[Both hands suddenly go to his face though.]
[Action] 2/2
The first thing I thought of was art supplies. That's what I got Toby for his birthday. And I thought, "Oh hey, Namur and Toby can draw together--"
[DEEP Breath and starts pacing before resting his head against the wall.]
I'm so stupid Thatch. I thought Pops would be so proud of me for it; and he was, but I let myself forget how much it fucking burns.
[Action]
Good. Keep letting yourself forget. Keep letting yourself heal.
[joys and pains of being a phoenix. You never hurt for long. But there was never peace either]
You'll mourn and the wound will close and eventually it will just be another memory to look at once in a while. But--in the meantime--let's celebrate Toby, too, aye? With flowers and anything else you think he would have liked. Let Namur draw him a picture in memorial. Make as many good memories for the bad ones.
[Action]
[Hugs and leans on Thatch.] I just want him to come back. I wish I could find him.
[Action]
Any way we can go look for him?
[Action] 1/2
Dunno.
Until your sorry ass showed up I thought for sure if he was in this world I'd know it. Now...
Anything's possible.
[Action] 2/2
Folded. I thought it was just squeezed down to this point, but it's folded. There are ripples even I can't see through. It hides whole pockets of the weirdest things.
[He shakes his head and laughs softly.] It's so exciting and frustrating at the same time, yoi. Whenever I think I have it... Pop [He makes a popping noise with his cheek.] One unfolds and I realize it's even more fucked up than I could have dreamed.
[Action]
I'm a fair hand at magic, and with training I could be even better. We could do anything we wanted.
[Action]
[Gestures for Thatch to grab a seat somewhere. Anywhere so he can sit with him.]
Problem is, pure stasis isn't anything anyone wants, eh? Even Pops wouldn't stop moving. Well, he's made of shakes, but you know what I mean. Moving forward.
[Marco rubs his temples and then sprawls on his back over the bed, and completely dangled over it.] Best I can think to do is use those pockets to my advantage. Pluck people and stick them in there. It's dangerous though. More than just the obvious danger of messing with the fabric of the space-time continuum, it could unmake things.
As tempting as that is, do you hold any regrets?
[Action]
Why do you ask?
[because he does. And strangely, his biggest regret now that he thinks about it-- was crawling to Balamb to begin with. He loved Marco. Wanted to be with Marco... But the end result would have been the same, wouldn't it? What had been done had been done. The consequences were the consequences.]
I would change the past if I could.
[Action]
Nor can it be done. Not even using Time. Not even unmaking it.
Here. [He half sits up in a crouching position and traces the scar on Thatch's face.]
Everything moves in circles. If the loop doesn't close... [He snaps his fingers.] Something big breaks down in the chain. Got it?
[He traces the scar and makes a circle.] If we could go into the past and redo things so as to be different then we wouldn't know to have to go into the past to redo them and -- [Mimes with his hands, breaking a stick.] You break the circle.
[He lays back down and hugs Thatch's head, then pets him softly.] You didn't say that you have no regrets. What's up?
[Action]
Let's break it anyway. We're pirates, aren't we?
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[Pet pet pet pet.] But there might be something to it. I'd make you take all the regrets though, eh.
[Action]
I'd take every one of them. I'm a big guy. I can handle it. I won't even let you have any.
[Action]
[Action]
After all, if pirates couldn't be just as selfish as they wanted, what's the point?
[Action]
You spoil me too much, you know. What will you do if I come to expect it?
[Action]
[Action]
I'll hold you to that bastard. [A small laugh and he ruefully shakes his head.] Mah, but you always do.
[Action]
[Action]
I hate you sometimes. [Nah he doesn't.]
