Second Brew | [BBS/Action]

For those of you who are still a bit wound up, I have managed to finish my first batch of brew! If you would like to try a little for free or purchase some for yourself or this upcoming "Valentine's Day," I will be in the cafeteria most of today. I do have this laptop with me and I believe I know how to work it well enough, so feel free to make an order or ask questions here as well.

[As promised on the BBS, Lihau is in the cafetera. She's appropriated a table or two for herself, a couple kegs, some large bottles/flasks/tankards for sales, and a few mugs of... fairly large size for samples, along with a towel and bowl to wash said mugs in-between uses.

She's not drinking herself -- she can always drink her own brew later and she'd prefer to leave as much as possible to the others. After all, she never did say how much "a little" was...]

[And if Lihau hasn't fought against enemies with literal stealth before. As it is, she waits until he's right up to her, and reaches over to grab whatever part of him she can reach. Lightly, since he didn't present as a threat.]

You are a bit too bright and loud for that.

[SQUAWKS! OH HIS GOD. DON'T PULL HIS TAIL! Marco just spazzes slightly. He's gonna diiiie... oh wait. She's not trying to kill him.]

[He just gives her a LOOK though. He can totally be stealthy. She doesn't even know.]

[Relax, Marco. The only way she's going to pull anything is if you jerk away -- and even then, the grip is light enough for it to be more likely that you just pull free.

She meets his look with one of her own.]

True. There are some things that can be very sneaky despite being colorful.

[Yes! See! Like Espio. If Espio can be sneaky-ish, so can Marco. He waits until she loosens up her grip, and stays put, but swishes his tail back and forth like a happy peacock.]

What are you doing here? Are you another cadet or SeeD?

[Nods his head yes, and gestures with his head to the beer, before giving a quizzical head tilt.]

I made it for "Valentine's Day," as it is similar to Love is in the Air from where I am from. I was hoping to offer a present to some -- I tend to make my brews quite sweet. You may try some if you like.

[More headtilt... ah screw it, he switches back to human and grabs a seat at the table.]

You made it for Valentine's Day?

[Oh! Lihau blinks, but seems otherwise unphased.]

Well, sort of. It was more for the holiday from my world, but here it is "Valentine's Day," so it is close enough for me.

[She pours a bit of the brew and offers him the mug.]

What's the holiday like in your world?

[Welp, he'll try it anyway! WEE!]

[Sweet, delicious, probably best-he's-ever-tasted beer!]

People exchange cards and sweets, put on cologne or perfume and blow kisses, things such as that. I believe the leaders get thousands of affection cards every year. Most are good sports about it, since they are rarely romnatic.

Sounds familiar all right. Well, not so much the leaders thing, but the rest of it.

So how does the drink figure in? That's a tradition my Pops would love.

Ah, my apologies. The "leaders" are the ones who represent their race in the Alliance.

That is a thing of my people. [She giggles.] It is not so much a holiday tradition as a tradition in general. We pandaren love to celebrate, eat, and drink with friends, so an occasion like this about things for the ones you love seemed the perfect time to celebrate as well.

[fierybluebird]

Sounds like pirates too. Or at least my crew anyway. Fight hard, party harder we always say.

Your crew sounds like quite a pleasant group.

[fierybluebird]

The best in the world. I wouldn't trade them for anything.

[tapthekeg]

[She giggles.]

That sounds like the guild that I was a part of. I would never trade any of them for anything either.

Guild? What kind of a guild were you?

[tapthekeg]

I am sure it was different from the guilds you are familiar with -- we were called the Knights of Solamnia, and we were more of a family put together through various ways. We shared our findings, our profits, and anything we could do, as well as ensuring each of us were well looked after.

We were made up of all races of the Alliance as well.

[fierybluebird]

[Grins.] Sounds like nakama then. You helped each other out?

[tapthekeg]

Absolutely. If one of us needed assistance, the others would dive to provide it. And if one of us was truly wronged, the others were as vengeful as a wolf pack.

[fierybluebird]

Definitely nakama then.

My own nakama, we made this tattoo of mine synonymous with our vengeance. [Proud nod.] So the whole world knows not to touch anyone wearing it or they've picked a fight with all of us.

We have something similar, though not quite as permanent.

[Lihau turns around, showing off the symbol on her cloak.]

This symbol, worn on a tabard or a cloak, is what represents us. I believe we do not do anything permanent because there are some who we take in that betray us, or leave as quickly.

[Her eyes flicker at "betray," but she leaves it at that.]

It would not do to have these ones bearing our mark.

[He nods solemnly at that.]

A double headed bird? Or is two birds back to back?

A double-headed bird, I believe. As far as I can tell, it is symbolism of how we are all extensions of a family.

Or perhaps that is just my romantic thinking. [She giggles.]
