Second Brew | [BBS/Action]

For those of you who are still a bit wound up, I have managed to finish my first batch of brew! If you would like to try a little for free or purchase some for yourself or this upcoming "Valentine's Day," I will be in the cafeteria most of today. I do have this laptop with me and I believe I know how to work it well enough, so feel free to make an order or ask questions here as well.

[As promised on the BBS, Lihau is in the cafetera. She's appropriated a table or two for herself, a couple kegs, some large bottles/flasks/tankards for sales, and a few mugs of... fairly large size for samples, along with a towel and bowl to wash said mugs in-between uses.

She's not drinking herself -- she can always drink her own brew later and she'd prefer to leave as much as possible to the others. After all, she never did say how much "a little" was...]

[After a hearty time of monster trapping, Ayla had decided to go down to the food place for some food. She stopped, seeing the beast in clothes.]

Beast trap self! Steal someone furs!

[Lihau blinks a little at the outburst, glancing over with a smile.]

No, I have not trapped anyone. These are my own clothes.

[She blinked a few times and then nodded. Okay, so there were ponies and pegasus and... and... apes? She tipped her head.]

What kind beast? Not see before. Not for eating beast?

No, I am not for eating.

[How casually she says this! ...then again, there was that one time that gnome seemed obsessed with knowing if she ate sentient humaniods...]

I am a pandaren. From another world, of course. [Sure, rogues wore leather, but not outright fur like that. The druids would pitch a fit.] My name is Lihau. And you?

Pandaren. [She nods. So many weird beasts here! It's so strange to have so many food-like things that aren't for eating.] Different world. My world, apes learn talk, lose fur. [They might not pitch a fit. She'd killed the beast, eaten it, and used the fur and bones.]

Me Ayla, chief Ioka. [She looked a little sad.] No Ioka here.

Actually, I am bear.

[Ah... Lihau knows that sad look. She smiles gently, standing to go over. She isn't sure how big Ayla is on contact, but she can at least be a friendly presence. After all, she's not giving out any threatening body language or aura.]

I understand the feeling. None of the friends I made or any of my own kind is here either. It is a sad thing to be lonely for those left behind.

[She points to herself.] Hairless ape. Have bears Ayla world! In other time! [She pauses and then slowly speaks.] Few-cher. Ayla go future. Like Ayla time best.

Mm. Many sad here. Miss villages. Ayla Lihau be friends. Not be so sad.

Ah, future? I am familiar with time travel as well.

[That gets a bright smile!]

Yes. We most certainly can be friends. It helps to have one around, does it not?

[Hee. She likes Ayla already! Lihau picks up one of the mugs and fills it a little, offering it to her.]

Have you ever tried beer?

[If Ayla does take it, she'll find it's a very sweet-tasting type of beer. Lihau always has a knack for adding that sort of flavor to her brews.]

[She grins.] Mm. Helps lot!

[She takes the mug of beer and sniffs it.] Not had. [She takes a sip.] Is like Ioka drink! {She drains the cup.] Much beer here?

No, not a lot. Just an occasional trip here and there. Ensuring things in the past came to happen and seeing -- [She actively shudders.] -- a very terrible future that we thankfully averted.

[Lihau seems pleased that Ayla likes it and refills the cup to full this time.]

No, not too much, but I make this myself. It is very special.

[She takes a deep draught.] Is good. Lihau make beer, Ayla make Ioka drink, have drinking night? Invite village! Eat lots, drink lots!

Yes. One where our entire world had been torn apart by a terrible creature called Deathwing. I admit, I have not seen it myself, but I have heard enough of it to feel deeply chilled all the same.

[She laughs.]

That sounds like a wonderful idea. What would you need for your drink?

Ah, give Blizz a few months/years; they'll retconn and it'll be close, I'm sure ;)

[She pumps her fists into the air.] Uunga! Hmm, Ayla need fruit, plant, and sweet water!

[Sneaks up. Sneak sneak sneak.]

[This whole "sneaking" thing would work better if he wasn't flaming blue, and sparkling.]

[And if Lihau hasn't fought against enemies with literal stealth before. As it is, she waits until he's right up to her, and reaches over to grab whatever part of him she can reach. Lightly, since he didn't present as a threat.]

You are a bit too bright and loud for that.

[SQUAWKS! OH HIS GOD. DON'T PULL HIS TAIL! Marco just spazzes slightly. He's gonna diiiie... oh wait. She's not trying to kill him.]

[He just gives her a LOOK though. He can totally be stealthy. She doesn't even know.]

[Relax, Marco. The only way she's going to pull anything is if you jerk away -- and even then, the grip is light enough for it to be more likely that you just pull free.

She meets his look with one of her own.]

True. There are some things that can be very sneaky despite being colorful.

[Yes! See! Like Espio. If Espio can be sneaky-ish, so can Marco. He waits until she loosens up her grip, and stays put, but swishes his tail back and forth like a happy peacock.]

What are you doing here? Are you another cadet or SeeD?

[Nods his head yes, and gestures with his head to the beer, before giving a quizzical head tilt.]

I made it for "Valentine's Day," as it is similar to Love is in the Air from where I am from. I was hoping to offer a present to some -- I tend to make my brews quite sweet. You may try some if you like.

[More headtilt... ah screw it, he switches back to human and grabs a seat at the table.]

Well, sort of. It was more for the holiday from my world, but here it is "Valentine's Day," so it is close enough for me.

[She pours a bit of the brew and offers him the mug.]

[Sweet, delicious, probably best-he's-ever-tasted beer!]

People exchange cards and sweets, put on cologne or perfume and blow kisses, things such as that. I believe the leaders get thousands of affection cards every year. Most are good sports about it, since they are rarely romnatic.
