CENTRA ORPHANAGE: Party with the orphans

On the Cape of Good Hope, 'neath Centra's summer sun,
Throw a party to help the orphans have some fun.

[Ain't no party like an orphanage party! Play party games with the kids, force your fellow Garden person into a chocobo costume, serve food, and distribute presents.]

[It's a far cry from the world. Heck, it's a far cry from his old crew of chimera (or even two chimera and Fullmetal, which the latter continues to be a resolutely poor sport about). But Greed's got himself a gang again, for the day -- a small group of orphan children, who he's won over by seizing the chocobo costume.]

Okay, kids -- you find me a victim, and we'll get them dressed like a giant, humiliating bird in no time flat.

[Greed, do you really want to go down that route? Selphie sees what you're up to and with an impish smirk on her face, the perky brunette comes over to the group of children with an idea.]

Hey kids, I've got an even better idea. First one who catches Mr. Chocobo here gets unlimited rides for the entire day. Everybody else, gets five rides each!

[gotgreedy]

[TWO can play that game. Just a little word-twisting is all it takes!]

Hear that? The lady's volunteering to be Mr. Chocobo. Better catch her like she says!

[And there go a couple of the kids after Selphie. Of course, she knows her way around the Orphanage well enough that she can easily avoid the kids.

She can't however dodge the cords on the floor as Selphie's foot gets hook in it and she goes flailing face first to the floor to be dogpiled by Greed's group of youngsters.]

Owwieeeeee...

[Greed arrives on the scene at a more leisurely place, casually tossing the suit in one hand.]

Well, ma'am -- you going peacefully, or are we in for a struggle?

[selphie_t]

Get me a remedy for my bruised ego and we'll talk but because it's the holidays, I'll be going peacefully.

[And she settles this defeat with an appropriately placed sigh of defeat.]

And whoever just poked me in the butt has a deathwish from above.

[gotgreedy]

[He offers out the chocobo costume with a smile.]

You hear that, kids? Our gang's increased by one for the day. Ride her hard but treat her right and she'll do well by you.

Looks like the mystery poker isn't the only one with a deathwish today.

[In grand Selphie fashion, she manages to worm her way out from underneath the pile of kids before she wanders away with the chocobo suit in tow. She'll reappear a few moments later and point a wing at Greed.]

It's your turn after this though!

My turn for a ride? Are you just that strong, or is this a delightful euphemism?

[Now he's grinning wickedly. Greed stop corrupting the kids -- even as he scoops one of them up to help the little runt mount up on Mr. Chocobo here.]

[The added weight onto her back is no problem just as long as Greed doesn't notice the fact that she's blushing a bright shade of red.]

You wouldn't give these kids such a terrible ride that they'd be desperate for more, would you?

You hear that, kids? Make sure you get your money's worth from her!

[If Greed notices her color, he doesn't make any open note of it.]

In-patients and retirees can't be left out.
Entertain them, but better not make them pout...

[Sing to them, tell stories, show off some cool moves... Despite Russell's warning in the announcement post, this can involve powers.]

[Insert Pinkie Pie juggling at least three balls and four cupcakes, taking a bite out of each cupcake in the process. SHe's dressed up as a candy cane striper in the hospital, entertaining children for the holidays!]

BALAMB TOWN: Mural painting

Or else volunteers can help brighten Balamb
By painting a mural with something other than jam.

[Nice long wall. Paint, rollers, and brushes supplied. Go nuts. Just don't paint anything offensive.]

[Koriand'r headed down to the mural painting. She wasn't that good, but what she lacked in talent, she made up for with enthusiasm. So she's painting something that looks very tropical to anyone walking by. It's not very good so it looks like she is painting hieroglyphs]

BALAMB TOWN: Gift packs

Those who don't mind some more menial work
Can put together gift packs with Zainah, that jerk.

[Also with the Balamb City Mission volunteers! Characters have instructions to put together gift packs of, eg. one chocolate, one wash cloth, one book/toy and wrap them. Good place to have a chat once you get into the rhythm of it.]
