[Eighteenth Heart] BBS

I am sorry, but I have a question. Normally I am able to conduct research and determine what a feeling is, but this time, I am stumped. What does it mean when the idea of someone makes you happy?

Thank you.

Are you looking more for a how-to or examples?

Romance novels are the worst way to go about learning things like this, as are the vast majority of any magazine or other literature written for the masses.

WHY IS HE THE RESPONSIBLE O-- oh wait. It's Tseng. :|

They have what might pass as a horendously rushed crash course in the mechanics of copulation but the emotional content of them is mostly forced, badly written and oft times disrespectful of personal boundaries or preferences.

Seriously, there's nothing these kids can do to make him quit. He's Director Turk. :|

Someone really needs to teach a class on the multiple aspects of that.

There are a multitude of ways to demonstrate emotional affection for another person, whether it be obvious or subtle. Open discussion with other individuals about their relationships is likely to be the best source for information.

Seriously, he almost misses the stress of Directorhood. Almost.

Most everyone is in a relationship of some form or another, romantic feelings are often similar to those of friendship with minor variation.

[NO. Come to Tseng. He's the man of knowledge and sensibility!]
hotpinkwhirlwind: (that is GENIUS)

[Sharpay's secret favorite genre.

[Insert a list of five books, all of which he'll find upon reading them are on the scale of sappy to melodramatic, at least one of which turns out to be a historical romance with ~forbidden love~ between classes.]
plotdeviceturk: (With a stern face)

CHILDREN. STOP.

Those are more likely to confuse someone with no experience than help them.

YOU'RE NOT MY REAL DAD

They're an inspiration!

NO BUT HE'S GOT MORE BADASS POINTS THAN YOUR REAL DAD.

Inspiration is perfectly fine after a firm base of knowledge to be inspired with is formed.
hotpinkwhirlwind: (na-ah-ah)

THIS IS PRETTY TRUE TBH

Hey, there are moments of knowledge in those books. Like that scene in [one of the more modern books] where [the lead couple does something cute bla bla bla]
plotdeviceturk: (Oh you don't say...)

Brief moments of accuracy barely count, it is more the overall schematic of [THAT NOVEL] that is erronious.

There's nothing wrong with mining the text!
