I am sorry, but I have a question. Normally I am able to conduct research and determine what a feeling is, but this time, I am stumped. What does it mean when the idea of someone makes you happy?
Thank you.
[Not signing this one in hopes of remaining anonymous. Not like everyone can't tell anyway.]
Thank you.

Uh, what kind of idea? Just...their existence in general? Knowing they're around? Or just the way they are?
I think I have an idea of what you're asking, I just want more information.

Think you have what we human types would call a crush, if I'm reading you right.
[Yeah, someone has a cheesy grin on his face, where he is. Well, Zak can appreciate, all things considered.]
Congratulations?

[Zak would shrug, but that's silly via text.]
If you ask me, it seems like you are. I haven't had many crushes, but I've had a few, and it sounds like you've got one.

On the other hand, you could maybe start doing nice things for the party you're interested in, see if there's a response, that sort of thing. Keeping things vague, and all.
As for looking more into the business, there's a lot written about it, but not all of it is good, you know? So if you start checking romance novels out of the library, take them with the proverbial grain of salt. Sometimes what's detailed there is exacerbated for reader satisfaction, if you get my meaning.

Are there any books you recommend?

Hey, she might even be flattered, you know?
And sadly, no. I'm the type of guy who reads more into technical manuals than romance novels. I could tell you why a motor doesn't tick, not how girls do. (Though I admit I sort of tried here, I guess.)

[THERE, HE SAID IT.]

[Also unsigned because signing her name to discussing the Commander's love life? Maybe not the best plan.]
Why are you guys encouraging him
for the lulz
He is going to get his heart broken oh my god guys. And this is totally why I love this game.
Also, not so much seeking advice so much as wondering if you know any books that would be a good start on learning about romance?
SORRY NOT SORRY
IT'S OKAY I EXPECTED THIS AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL.
I NEED TO STOP THIS TRAINWRECK WITH A THREADJACK.
TSENG IS THE BEST...
WHY IS HE THE RESPONSIBLE O-- oh wait. It's Tseng. :|
Best teacher.
Do you know of other sources I could learn from?
Seriously, there's nothing these kids can do to make him quit. He's Director Turk. :|
There are a multitude of ways to demonstrate emotional affection for another person, whether it be obvious or subtle. Open discussion with other individuals about their relationships is likely to be the best source for information.
Poor Tseng.
[THE ONLY PEOPLE HE KNOWS THAT FITS THAT DESCRIPTION ARE GRELL AND MARCO. This can't possibly go wrong.]
Seriously, he almost misses the stress of Directorhood. Almost.
[NO. Come to Tseng. He's the man of knowledge and sensibility!]

[Insert a list of five books, all of which he'll find upon reading them are on the scale of sappy to melodramatic, at least one of which turns out to be a historical romance with ~forbidden love~ between classes.]
CHILDREN. STOP.
YOU'RE NOT MY REAL DAD
NO BUT HE'S GOT MORE BADASS POINTS THAN YOUR REAL DAD.
THIS IS PRETTY TRUE TBH

Never know until you try, I guess. I mean, even if it doesn't actually go anywhere, she knows she has your support, right?
Probably a good thing for a lady in her position. I can't imagine running this place is easy.

[The Commander is probably reading this now. And facepalming.]

[Not that Zak's bias isn't well-known. This is probably why he didn't win Homecoming Prince. That and the fact that he cheerfully defaced his own posters, the delinquent.
That's okay, Ardos. Zak will just throw some gunpowder on the fire.]
no subject
Either way, I will try to contact the Commander with at least support for her actions.
no subject
That sounds good. Or maybe you could go the secret-admirer route at some point.
[Zak, stop giving the instructor terrible advice.]

I'd be game.
[Zak. That's not helping.]

[And it's not like Zak can't be ID'd through all this. The only one. Maaaaybe crazy.]
If I find any good books, I'll let you know, too.
[It'll give him an extra reason to talk to Mikuru. Like he needs those anyway.]

This might be something else, though. And Twi genuinely has no idea who this is.]
Well, that would indicate that you view them in some sort of positive light... Could you elaborate on these feelings?
