Is anyone good with mathematics? I'm in the remedial class and I still don't know if I'm getting it. It's a lot of information that I never had to learn before. I really would like to know if I am understanding it. - Kory

Also, no offense to the teachers, but I'm so bored in some of my classes.

[ Dolphin chuckles. ]

If you ever need some help, I'm always available. [ She looks around, hands on her hips. ] But let's leave the world of academics behind for an hour or two. At least until we're done with our ice cream. [ She gestures over her shoulder. ] I thought we could get some in the Cafeteria.

Thank you. I'll let you know if I need help. I'd like that. [She's really not used to being in school so having a reason to take a break is wonderful]

How have you been?

[If they were forgetting about academics for the moment, they should do the same about her job, right?]

I've been good. [ She takes Star's hand and starts walking towards a hall. ] Too many papers to file. Sometimes I think that it's the same pile on my desk everyday when it's all new with blank lines and signatures.

[Koriand'r holds her hand and follows after her. She chuckles]

I would imagine that would get redundant. So many things, but I guess large buildings like this one need paperwork.

[ Dolphin nods. ] I once fell asleep at my desk, woke up, and thought I was a hundred feet tall, towering over a city. I only realized I was just at my desk when I panicked and my chair tipped onto the floor.

[She can't help a laugh at that] I'm sorry, but that's pretty funny. But that must be a lot of papers.

What was worse was that as I was getting up, I accidentally pulled on a cable chord that the pile was sitting on and the papers went everywhere.

[ She winces at the memory. ]

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that.

[It must have been such a mess]

[ She nudges Starfire with her elbow. ]

It's okay. I got most of it cleaned up by myself before someone stopped by with coffee and helped me.

[She looks a little confused when Dolphin nudges her]

Well someone offered to help?

[ Dolphin winks at Starfire, giggling. ]

Yeah, it got things straightened nice and quick before my boss came in. But -- hey! [ She puts an arm around Starfire. ] You're making me talk about work! This is a no-work-or-school-talk zone!

[Koriand'r chuckles]

You were the one who started it. I just asked how you were.

You also asked about how I am doing with work, didn't you?

No, I don't think so. But we won't talk about it anymore.

All right. All right. I'll pay for the ice cream to be a good sport. [ She takes Starfire's hand against. ] I meant to tell you, I have always find your hair to be incredible.

[She smiles, looking over at her as they head towards the cafeteria] Thank you very much. Your hair is very nice too.

[ When they reach the doors, Dolphin pushes them out, then stops, waiting for Starfire to come through. ]

Thank you. [She steps through the door]

What kind of ice cream do you like?

Sea-Salt. [ Dolphin smiles sheepishly. ] It's not very original for a water-dweller...

No, I guess not, but if it is what you like... I don't think I've ever tried that before.

It's a little bitter. Do you like bitter flavors?

I do. I like sweet, but not too much of it. Some Earth sweets are just really too sweet.

Too much fructose corn syrup, I think is the problem.

Probably. There are a lot of sweeteners that humans use.

It just doesn't lay well on my stomach after eating it. Not to mention they actually have artificial flavors. I never had anything artificial in my food until I stepped onto the Land.
