Is anyone good with mathematics? I'm in the remedial class and I still don't know if I'm getting it. It's a lot of information that I never had to learn before. I really would like to know if I am understanding it. - Kory

Also, no offense to the teachers, but I'm so bored in some of my classes.

It just doesn't lay well on my stomach after eating it. Not to mention they actually have artificial flavors. I never had anything artificial in my food until I stepped onto the Land.

It does. Artificial was for weapons, buildings, things, not for food.

Do you think the ice cream here has "artificial" things in it?

Only the plain flavors that aren't organic.

[Koriand'r follows her over to the booth, looking at the options when they reach the booth. There were definitely ones she hadn't heard of before] Have you ever had green tea before?

[ Dolphin shakes her head. ] No. It always sounds...too...tea-y for me.

[She can't help a chuckle at that] I think I'll try it. You don't like tea?

I do, but I've only had it about once, a long time ago. I can't try it now, actually, because I'm still breastfeeding Cerdian.

[ She looks down to her ample chest. ]

It gets really uncomfortable.

Oh... [Koriand'r kind of trails off for a moment. It made her sad that Dolphin couldn't have her son with her... or better yet, be home with her son] I'm sorry to hear that.

[tempesting]

It's all right. I don't have any problems that most women do when they can't ...uh... give away their breastmilk.

[ Cause it'd be awkward. ]

I know Cerdian is safe at the Tower with Garth and the rest of the Titans.

[Yes, it would be. Koriand'r hasn't had that issue yet, but she already know she wouldn't want to do it when she couldn't be near her child.

She smiles, wanting to reassure her even though she didn't know most of these people as they were now] He is safe. They won't let anything happen to him.

[ Dolphin nods, approaching the food counter. ]

Do you want to go first?

[She nods, stepping forward first and after looking at the board a moment, she orders the green tea ice cream. Then she moves out of the way for Dolphin to order]

[ Dolphin goes forward, orders, then steps back as the counter person prepares the orders. ]

Christmas is next month, isn't it?

It is. It feels... strange... that Christmas is so soon.

Have you already experienced Christmas?

No, but they have told me about Christmas. It is... was soon back home.

Then we should make this pretty big, huh?

[ She slings an arm around Star. ]

[She smiles excitedly, looking over at Dolphin. Having not really had a chance to celebrate first hand made this even more exciting even in this new place]

That would be wonderful.

[ She puts her other arm around Starfire, hopping up and down a bit from excitement. ] Starfire's very first, very best Christmas. We can do all the Christmas-y things that we please. We can go eat snow, have heated liquid chocolate, and then find someone to be Santa for the little kids.

[It's really hard for Koriand'r to not get excited now. She wants to do all that, everything the Titans back home had told her about]

Yes! I want to do all of those things!

That's great! We can do them all! [ She's actually so exited that she's hopping on the balls of her feet. ]

[Koriand'r grins, very excited now] We never had anything like this back home. I just heard about it from the others.

Oh, it'll be wonderful, Star! We can even get a tree! And then braid holly in your hair. [ Is that how the holly tradition went? Dolphin is unsure as she's only experienced holidays under the sea before she came to the Titans, but she wants Starfire's first Christmas to be extra special. ]
