Hello again! It's been an awfully long while, hasn't it? Or maybe it only feels that way when you've been on an extended mission.

I wanted to let you know that I've brought some ribbons and balloons back with me! They were meant for Homecoming, but it took so long to treat all my patients after the last attack that I missed it. I'm sure it was a wonderful day. But now I have the decorations taking up all this space in my room. If you need them for a birthday party, or if there's something else coming up, please stop by!

[Someone is happy this morning. Aerith moves from hallway to hallway, waving at the passing familiar and new faces. She's either happy to see them or happy to listen to the sounds of her jingling bracelets as she waves. It's never quite certain with her.

She finally settles in the Quad, choosing a random pole to wrap her ribbons around. It's nothing too outlandish---she just wants to ensure that the blue and orange really do look nice together before she gives them as a bundle to someone else.]

[Someone hadn't caught the memo about her being back and he was pretty sure that he could get away with quite a lot of stuff without having to deal with potential issues from back home. Thus he's being a twat and sort of smoking on his way through the hallways, for the most part ignoring all the people around.

Though he pauses as soon as he hears the bracelets and catches sight of familiar hair.

[Aerith knows the scent of smoke so well. Ever-present in the slums, so much rarer out in the open sky---well, she might not have said that if she had stayed on the Planet long enough to meet Cid Highwind. But she definitely catches it now, her braid whipping around as she turned her head.]

Haven't we already discussed this? You might not think your health matters, but it does.

[Time differences, he'll never understand how exactly that works, but it doesn't really matter all that much in this place. He's more or less stuck in his place at that look, grinning a bit sheepishly with it in his mouth.]

You can't have things too dull. The colors are good for attention---if everything looks the same, people get bored.

Not everywhere. We've just had Homecoming, after all. I'm saving them for another party. Maybe we should have one before final exams next semester?

I wonder if the mood-lifter would help.

You know, about what cadets are supposed to call people, I've wondered if I'm supposed to tell cadets to call me Instructor Chameleon. It doesn't sound right to me. But then, I guess it's not actually a surname.

Anyway, about those decorations. I have a use for some if you're really drowning in them. It's not a party or anything though.

I wanted to see my ribbons in this light. You can't always know what color something is just from looking at it in the shop. What if I give someone a ribbon I think is blue, and it's green?

Perhaps your shop needs better lighting.

The slums don't have the best light. It's nicer here, but some people like to light their shops with bright orange bulbs.

I think I saw a few lava lamps, but those were the lingerie shops.

Not just yet! I want to be sure that I have the right colors for later on. We'll probably have another party near the start of term, right?

Or maybe we'll do something on vacation.

Hmmm... maybe. [She tilts her head to the side to look at the pole better.] Homecoming's already passed, but the graduation dance's coming up soon, so maybe?

Either way, it looks really nice.
