[It had taken some time, but after enough tinkering and watching others, Rin has finally figured out how this technology works. Which is a step in the right direction, right?]
Ugh. How do you people stand this place? It is just absolutely disgusting inside out, no one seems to take any kind of manners about this place and no one seems to believe you if you tell them you deserve some form of respect. Iwas AM still a princess, the next in line to become ruler of the Yellow Country and yet no one around here believes a word of it! I do not appreciate being talked down to as if I am some kind of child who has not a clue as to how the world works, I have studied and I have seen things that many have not seem. I am a capable ruler and am a capable member of the royal family, I do not appreciate being treated in any different manner!
And this... this gallivanting about the place is absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for, if one is here to learn, then they should do everything in their ability to get out of here as soon as possible with all the information necessary. Instead people are leeching off the system like common beggars and making the rest of us seem just as bad. Disgusting. Absolutely and undeniably disgusting.

Yes, you're distressed and under duress. But I've found that people show their true colors then--who they really are. As I've said, your situation is exactly the same as mine was when I first arrived. As it is for everyone else when they first arrive. You're not better or worse than anyone, not that you seem to think so. But go on. Run away.
It's probably all you'll ever be good for.

Take that back right now. [That is all he is getting for the moment, one track mind.]

In this world, Princess, you won't be given the luxury of backing down by running away often. It could easily cost you your life. There is tactical retreat, and there is running because you feel personally insulted. If you want to make it here, you're going to have to learn to separate your emotions from a situation and use strictly logic.

Tactical retreat can come in several forms and avoiding a conflict in a situation where one would not be attacked for backing down can still influence emotion if it comes to it. Seeing what your opponent can do and knowing when a battle has been lost and not embarrassing yourself due to who you are up against is a smarter move than continuing in an unwinnable situation.
Alternatively avoiding a situation going from bad to worse if emotions play more into the answers than you would like. Thus tactical retreats are more than what they appear on the surface.

Anyway, do you need help deciding which classes to take or aid in deciding on a major?

From the options I was shown I was leaning towards International Business as it sounded closest to what I am used to and did not involve being directly on the front lines all that often.

I would definitely consider a psychology course, and pay great attention to the history and culture courses. No matter what major, you'll need them.
Combat courses are mandatory. I suggest, over break, you test out weapons offered and find the one most suited to both your body type and strengths.

As for weaponry, what is there? All I have seen back home were bladed weapons, flails, archery, and hammers.

Forgive me if I sound ignorant, but what are firearms?
