Don't mind Ariel, she's just fascinated by her new surroundings and it's quite clear that she's never worn a uniform before. It looks.. a little strange, especially with the yellow bow tie portion tied in her hair, rather than around her neck. Needless to say, she's attracting some odd looks from the other students.

She'd spent a large portion of the morning getting lost and is currently in the cafeteria, staring in awe at what is on offer in terms of food. She's pretty much starving but is frowning in confusion and hesitating about approaching the counter.]

Um.. so people eat dogs here? Oh gosh..

[She's looking at the word "Hot Dog" and is feeling all kinds of freaked out. And, yes, she is talking to herself. The cafeteria staff are also most likely giving her odd stares as she continues mumbling to herself.

Help a mermaid out, anyone?]

They're not actually dogs, it's just what they're called.

[Yuna's standing a little ways to the left, smiling at her. She looks up at the bow in her hair and wonders if she should say anything...]

[Ariel jumps a little at the voice and glances to her left. She smiles at the other girl.]

Oh! Silly me!

[She let's out an embarrassed giggle.]

What are they, then?

I think it's a sausage. Those come from pigs.

[Culinary expert, she is not.]

I'm Yuna, by the way. What's your name?

[Ah, Ariel's heard of sausages. She nods.]

Oh, really? It's a kinda weird name for a sausage made of pig.. [She shrugs - it wasn't the first time she'd experienced something strange in the human world and it certainly wouldn't be the last.]

Nice to meet you, Yuna. Oh, what a beautiful name!

[She beams at the other girl.]

[She laughs.] It doesn't make much sense to me either.

[The unexpected compliment makes her smile as well.] Thank you! Your name is really pretty, too. It's nice to meet you! You must be new. I've only been here a few weeks.

[She stops mid-sentence and beams at Yuna, nodding happily.]

Oh, yes..I'm new, I ended up here a few days ago. One second I'm taking a nap in my quarters at Prince Eric's castle and then the next.. I wake up and I'm here.

It's a little scary but I love adventures!

[Ariel is a little startled that someone had overheard her talking but she smiles at the girl.]

..Well, that's a relief! I really like dogs so I couldn't actually eat one. [She bites her lip] Um, so why are they called Hot dogs, then?

Don't worry! Out of respect to the sentiments of the students and staff, Garden does not prepare dogs or other common pets, boom!

[Yes, the demon had almost literally appeared out of nowhere to reveal this. Enigmatic mentors must always be prepared to dispense wisdom and pan-seared meals!]

[Ariel literally jumps out of her skin at the sudden appearance, eyeing the man a little uneasily, but she smiles at his words.]

Ah, well.. that's a relief~

[She glances at the menu again and giggles a little.]

It's a silly name for something that doesn't contain actual dog..

It is merely slang, developed over hundreds of years.... although it might have been an accurate name at one point. Hyahya, but those days are long gone!

Oh, yes, apparently. I avoid them, myself. They're apparently quite good and I never was much of a dog person, but it just seems too strange.

[Then Gothel looks up from her meal, and frowns at Ariel in confusion.] Is there something wrong with the uniform here, darling~?

Haha, they can avoid hot dogs together! 8D

[Ariel wrinkles her nose at the confirmation that the hot dogs do actually contain dog and feels a little sad when she remembers Prince Eric's dog, Max.]

I can't eat dog, I love dogs.. Prince Eric would be so upset if he knew.. Oh gosh..

[Her mumblings are interrupted by Gothel's question about the uniform.]

Oh, I love it! [She twirls a little] I've never worn anything like this before~

Don't let her teach you about technology, Ariel! She is so bad at it!

[Gothel says a bit irritatedly:] Don't mumble, darling. No one can hear a thing you're saying, and it's very rude. Talking only to oneself aloud in front of others... [Then she laughs.] Oh, I'm just joking, you're a dear child~.

[She raises an eyebrow at the last sentence.] I can tell. I daresay everyone can too, darling~. That's not quite how it's meant to be worn.

Ariel's gonna suck so much, too! LOL.

[Ariel blinks a little at the woman's tone - she's used to being lectured by her father and can tell when someone's irritated. She smiles any way and listens carefully.]

I'm sorry for mumbling..

What.. What's wrong with it?

[She looks down at herself - had she forgotten to do up all the buttons? They sure were a challenge.. Nope, all done up correctly.. What could it be, then?]

I thought I put it on right..

At least don't let Gothel teach her anything about driving. One road hazard's enough already... XD

[Gothel gives Ariel a critical once-over.] Well~. There's quite a lot going on here. What stands out to me the most would probably be... the necktie~. That's in your hair.

[Well, Rapunzel knows she can't avoid Gothel forever, and she is kind of hungry. So she will be in the cafeteria and overhears the redhead.]

....You really think they are dogs? I don't think they're actually....? [People wouldn't. Really eat dogs, would they? They are supposed to be like pets, right?]

[Ariel turns to look at Rapunzel, her eyes widening at the sheer length of the girl's hair. She immediately makes a bee-line for the other girl, temporarily forgetting her hot dog woes.]

Oh, your hair is beautiful..!

[Yes, she's probably invading your personal space, Rapunzel, but she can't help it. She's too inquisitive for her own good.

Just short of touching, she suddenly takes a step back and smiles in embarrassment.]

..Oh, I'm sorry... [She lowers her hand and quickly returns her attention back to the matter in hand.] Oh, well, I hope they're not made from real dogs! Prince Eric has a pet dog called Max and he's so playful and adorable.. I wouldn't want to eat him!

[Rapunzel looks behind her, turning a little as Ariel reaches for her hair. It's braided and trailing near her ankles.] Oh. Thank you. I like yours too! I don't think I've seen hair so red before!

[Rapunzel would love to mix such vivid red with her paints, she really likes Ariel's hair.]

I don't know that it's really dog? It might just be a name. [Because some human things or things here seems strange still.] You know a prince?

I really hope it's not real dog. That would just be icky..

[Ariel's face lights up and she nods vigorously.]

Oh yes! Prince Eric~ [She looks a little dreamy] We were going to get married.. before I was brought here.

I don't think I could eat a real dog either.

Oh! So you're...a princess? Or, will be one soon. [She bites her lip, looking to the side before:] I'm one too. I mean, I didn't know I was for years. I only recently found out....

Bit of a mystery, really, why they call them hot dogs. I mean, they don't actually contain dog - though, yes, yes, there are places where dogs are considered, or have been considered dinner.

...well, okay, not that much of a mystery. "Dog" has meant sausage for, well, ages really. Probably because some sausages did possibly contain bits of dog.

But not these ones, no, these ones are just pork.

By the way, you've got a necktie in your hair.

I see.. Thank you for clearing that up for me. [She let's out a little laugh.] You're very knowledgeable.

Oh.. [She reaches up to touch the yellow tie, blushing a little as she bites her lip nervously.]
