[Action] In the dark of the night
[Thanks to all the free time lately, Artemis has been feeling more than a little antsy. Which is why after a day or so to figure out the logistics Artemis has donned her hero uniform and is currently making use of the training center after curfew for a little exercise. ]
[Standard target practice is child's play for someone with her training, so she's got targets scattered over the entire training center. This way the flora and fauna of the center can work as obstacles she has to work her way around. It's brilliant really even if it's not entirely as strenuous as she might have liked. There honestly aren't enough T-rexaur's to actually make it as dangerous as she'd like which probably says something about the young archer's state of mind.]
[Anyone who happens to stumble upon the training center will probably notice the constant cowled hero in green making her way everywhere using the trees and fences to maneuver around all while displaying perfect archery skills. Other capes and other characters in general are more than welcome to stare/mock/whatever at Artemis at their own risk naturally. She is obviously armed after all.]

Never heard of an Arrowette in my world, as far as we can tell I took that slot.
no subject
[He smiles, just a little, at her.] Just as well, you've got a better codename.
no subject
[She shrugs, but she's smiling crookedly at the offhanded compliment.] Don't tell her that. Though I guess the one I know wasn't Arrowette by your time, sounds like she'd already quite the hero scene when I met her.
[Might as well ask the unavoidable question.]
Do arrows and speedsters seem to be a thing in the future?
no subject
Not that I know of? Green Arrow's girlfriend isn't a speedster, and Arrowette's my age.
[he shrugs.] If she's dating someone like Impulse, then she's got pretty bad taste.
no subject
[Her mouth twitches into a small smile.]
Impulse?
no subject
[He nods.] He and the Flash're the only people in our world with super-speed.
no subject
Ollie has great-grandkids?! How's that even possible?
So... there's no Kid Flash?
[She's still testing the waters, because it's so hard to figure out just what's different between their universes sometimes. Admittedly what she really wants to ask about is Wally since there's a chance he's from the same world Bart, Cissie, and the others were from.]
no subject
[He shakes his head.] Never heard of him. Impulse is the first speedster sidekick my world's ever had.
no subject
[She frowns, trying to piece together the differences between her world and his.]
Ollie has a son? Since when? You're not talking about Roy are you?
[Damian you're going to give her a headache.]
First sidekick... then how did Wally become the Flash?
[Between Bart and Cissie that much she'd managed to ferret out. Also whoops what are secret identities anymore. Oh well.]
no subject
... Conner's kid is the current Arrowette. [He shrugs.]
And Mr. West became the Flash when he got hit by lightning. I don't think he was a hero before he got his superpowers.
[Secret identities? You mean that's a thing? Damian would've never guessed.]
no subject
Don't think mine's ever had an Arrowette either. Least not that I've ever heard of. [She shrugs too.]
Wally got hit by lightning?! That's how... I've always thought he was a little brain damaged, looks like I was right.
[Oh well. It's not likely anyone else is up at this hour anyway.]
no subject
Connor Hawke's kid is Cissie Hawke, Conner Kent's son is Chris Kent.
... You didn't know that? I thought that was like, common knowledge. He got hit by lighting and chemicals and slag and then he became a founding member of the Justice League.
no subject
[She also just assumes it's with M'gann. Oops.]
So, Ollie has a kid and that kid's kid is named after Cissie? [His world is so confusing.]
Wally. A founding member of the Justice League?
[She can't talk, too busy laughing. Okay, hang on let's try that again.]
Now I know you have to be nuts. There's no way. Barry, his uncle, was the Flash who helped with the Justice League.
no subject
... There's never been a "Cissie King-Jones" in my world. [Headtilt.] She was always Cissie Hawke.
[No, it's Artemis's world that's weird.]
I've never heard of a Barry West. Wally was the second Flash, and Bart's expected to be the third eventually.
no subject
Thought your world was just her world later. Guess not. That makes it at least three now. How's that for slagged?
[In her defense she did spend some time with Max when she was here and had asked for a list of insults to use on Wally once upon a time.]
[No way, her world is the only normal one.]
Barry Allen. He married Wally's aunt. [
Yes, I'm playing this like she knows about his family history and not his hero history. Shush.] If Wally was the second Flash, who was the first if it wasn't Barry?no subject
[Headtilt.] Jay Garrick.
But that was a long, long time ago... Mr. West was the first speedster of his generation and definitely a founding member of the League.
no subject
[To think Artemis still hasn't connected the dots between Max and Damian yet. This is why she's not a bat.]
That's what it sounds like.
[She shrugs.]
Never heard of him. This is too weird. Wonder why our worlds are so different.
no subject
[He can't help laughing. It's a real, genuine laugh because he hasn't met someone that knew her in a long, long time.] Frag's much, much worse than slag... reserve it for when you really want to curse someone out. I should know: I'm from her world.
[at that last comment, he shrugs.] Who knows?
no subject
[Awwe, that's kind of cute and definitely reminds Artemis of how young he is.]
Right. Like being stuck on an elevator. Got it.
Guess that makes sense now that you mention it.
[They can wonder about world's being different later, honestly she doesn't really care too much beyond "man this is so weird".]
no subject
I don't think she'd ever met tech she didn't like... before coming here, at least.
But yeah, it doesn't really seem to matter. I'm the slagging Robin, you're an Arrow, that's good enough for me.
no subject
This stuff's pretty bad by my standards so it must have been worse for people from your time.
I can work with that. [Kid's got a good head on his shoulders, she's not going to complain.]
no subject
It's hideous. I don't know how these people function with these slagged things.
[Right, patrols. Robin glances over at the door...]
... If you think you've got everything under control here, I should probably finish patrols.
no subject
[She rolls her eyes at that question, because seriously??]
Of course I've got this. I'm an Arrow, remember?
no subject
Right, right.
I'll see you around.
[And he's outta there! This one's not for dramatic exits, so he merely salutes her before running off.]
no subject
Yeah, yeah.
Of course, later Robin.
[She'll even salute back.]
