[Action] Pet combat demo (Slightly backdated, but only a day or two)

[Everyone around campus lately, fliers have gone up. What are they for? They're an advertisement for a pet combat demo since Rinoa promised Lea she'd give one before night classes started. It's a rather attractive poster and probably has a ton of puppies and kitties on it. False advertising? Probably not once you consider the pets owned by most of the people on Garden.]

[And today is the day for that demo! The fliers were around for a few days to give people notice about what's going on. So now Rinoa's getting all set up just inside the training center - with a little help from her furry assistants of course. That's right, this wouldn't be possible without help from Angelo and Julia! (They'll be getting a round of applause later naturally.)]

[For now people are more than welcome to come up and ask questions either: as she sets up, during the demo, or after the demo. Feel free to mark when the conversation takes place if you want. For some ideas on part of what will take place during this demo see this video here.]

[Touma's hanging back taking notes, so it's Gaomon who asks, after an Angelo Cannon:] Isn't he heavy? [Or is this girl's Strength really jacked up on junctions?]

[Talking animal-like things aren't too weird by now, so she just answers his question without thinking about how weird this all is.]

She's a little heavy, but if you move fast it's not so bad. I.... never really thought about it honestly.

[It's just kind of something she does, she doesn't really think about the whys or how that often.]

[Gaomon looks to Touma, who shakes his head, amused.] We're only trying that with digisoul. [Because Gaomon is quite a bit bigger than Angelo, considering he was up to Touma's shoulder when the kid was fourteen.]

[Her lips twitch into a smile.]

I think Rush would probably work better for you than Cannon.

[Touma nods in agreement, but Gaomon suddenly looks inspired.] I think I could mix it with one of my own attacks as well...

I don't see why not? It's better to make things your own instead of following instructions directly, don't you think?

[She's so in over her head right now.]

[Gaomon smiles, thinking back on his experiences saving the worlds with Touma.] Yes, I suppose there is.

[Tom came in late, about halfway through the demonstration proper, but he figured that he might as well go ahead and give Rinoa some congratulations anyhow.

Except Julia distracted him. He kneels before the cat, going ahead and scratching her cheek. Belatedly, he gives Rinoa a smile:] That looked pretty awesome.

[It was actually a lot tougher than she'd expected.]

I'd say I don't want to do that again ever, but there's the class to start teaching soon and I doubt it'll be much different.

[She groans as she starts packing up.]

Why did I think this was a good idea gain?

Because you're good with animals and nearly everyone on campus has a pet? [He knows it's a rhetorical question, but he can't help teasing her just a little.

So of course, he's going to help her pack up too.] Seriously, I thought it was great.

... Except for the part where a couple of guys bet on who'd get to use me as their combat pet.

Something like that. [She laughs.] I didn't realize there were so many pets on campus.

[How many of those are there illegally like Julia? She's not even going to bother finding out.]

Really?

[She smiles and tucks a loose piece of hair behind one ear absently.]

Because that was my favorite part.

Yeah, I'm amazed the Disciplinary Committee hasn't done anything about it. [Probably because they shrunk down to one member...

He snorts, partially because he can't be TOO mad at her.] Of course it would be. Kinda have to say, I wish I could've beaten the tar outta them.

Well it's not like they're hurting anyone.

[Except for maybe Sharpay's allergies.]

[Hey this is the best her mood's been in ages, of course he'd have to be nice.]

You'd have to make it official or your SeeD rank's going to take a beating, but I doubt they'd agree to train with you somehow.

[It's obvious that she's been friends with too many hot headed people isn't it?]

Damn, I'd almost forgotten about that.

... But no, I'm seriously not interested in duking it out. I know it's weird, since I teach Boxing an' all, but I'd rather talk it out versus having our fists say everything.

Snow teaches Martial Arts, but I'm pretty sure he'd rather talk it out when possible too.

No wonder the Garden magically reversed their ban on pets--you intend to use them as canon fodder for your pointless war.

[Oh wait. That probably wasn't the part to be violently objecting to at all is it.]
