[This place doesn't make any sense, as far as Arthur is concerned. And while interrogating what faculty he could taught him a little more about this whole school thing, it took a great deal of calm on his part not to draw his sword on them as his kidnappers. The fact that they were so congenial about the whole thing is the main reason he hasn't threatened anyone. Yet.
It wasn't until after a humbling talk with the headmaster that he calmed down and really began to look at his situation. After which he began wandering Balamb Garden, feeling unusually lost in more ways than one. A king without his kingdom, his people, was nothing more than a man. The only consolation he had was Excalibur, sheathed at his side. A small comfort, but a comfort nonetheless.
So that leaves one (1) King of Camelot, in full chainmail, a bright red cape, and a crown, wandering around exploring the place. And occasionally asking questions, because displacement aside, he's not exactly up to date on the modern technology.]

It is like executing people for eating, or writing a book, or using a sword!
And you certainly do not kill a dragon just because they are dragons.
[Alduin shook his little head, as if trying to shake the thoughts of something so terrible away.]

[He was getting a little worked up, but he stopped himself, calming down a little for his next words.]
I admit, I do not know what the dragons did to deserve such treatment. But I don't know that they were innocent, either.

And I am sure the dragons did absolutely nothing to deserve such treatment! We are very negotiable creatures and we tend to be very pleasant! Unless you are speaking with a colored dragon, like I said earlier, but even they can be civil if they wish to be!

I understand that magic can be used as a tool for good. But you're wrong. Magic corrupts.
[As he goes on he raises his voice and gestures strongly, teeth bared.]
I have seen the way magic is used by those who choose to practice it. My mother died because of magic. A good and loyal friend of mine was turned against her friends and family by a sorceress, and she became one herself. Do not try to tell me that magic is as something so trivial as carving wood!
[He attempts to rein in his temper, though mostly only succeeds outwardly, his stance tense.]
I am done speaking with you. It would be best that we not cross paths again.

[The girl who called out was quickly approaching them. She was dressed in the sort of casual garment a noble or a courtesan might wear, though the hem of her skirt was cut to just above her knees and the sleeves were less flowy, with a silk sash tied about her waist. It was like a noblewoman's dress, only made more convenient to move in. Her garment was red, and adorned with jewels and embroidered with expensive threads.
Aside from her dress, the only thing that might have set her apart from anyone else Arthur ran into were the large dragon wings on her back. They were a matte platinum color and, folded back as they were, were taller and just wider than she. Though, at just under five foot and only a slip of a girl, most things were.
Before Alduin could say anything, he was snatched up by the girl and held against her chest. He made some small attempts to escape before she spoke.]
I've told you to leave people alone if they don't want to talk with you, haven't I?
Yes, mother, but this man thinks very strange things! [Alduin wrangles an arm free of hers and points a talon at Arthur.] He thinks that magic is evil!
[And at this Rita finally looks up and actually notices Arthur, giving him a curious look.] Why is that? [A pause.] Aren't you a magic-user yourself?

He very nearly draws his sword again when he sees a dragon-winged girl running toward him, but hesitates long enough to put a stopper that impulse. If not for those wings, it might have been a comfort to see someone dressed in a way much more familiar to his own world. He'd wanted to find familiarity, but not dragons and winged girls.
Her question nearly had him choking.]
I am no sorcerer. Who are you? [It was a command, of the sort kings made when angered. Which he was, on both accounts.]

I did not accuse you of sorcery. [She points to his sword.] That blade is enchanted. Very, very strongly enchanted. [And of course, she doesn't bother to answer his question.]

Though he glances sharply to his sword, then back to Rita.]
That's ridiculous. Now tell me who you are- or at least what you are.

I don't see the point speaking with such a rude person, who thinks that the truth is ridiculous, let alone giving my name to him. [She turns with a huff and begins to walk away from him.]
