[Waking up in a strange, new world is nothing new to Riku. After all, it happened when the islands disappeared into darkness. However, he didn't end up enrolled in a military academy back then. So, needless to say, this whole situation is different and a little overwhelming.

Time compression, Sorceresses... it's all a bunch of strange jargon to him. Still, if he's going to be stuck for a while, he might as well get used to it.

Which is exactly why he's planning on exploring every nook and cranny to get a feel for his surroundings. First stop? The cafeteria, to grab something to eat. While there, he'll probably find a quiet spot to sit on his own. No need to draw attention to himself, after all.

But once that's over with, he'll head on down to the Training Center. There, he'll showcase some of his sweet moves, including elemental magic, Keyblade techniques, tossing it at enemies like a boomerang or ramming straight into them, adding in a flurry of rapid combos... just to name a few of his techniques. He'll keep at it for a good while, noticeably keeping to himself. Obviously, someone should pester him before he overworks himself. KH folk might notice he's wielding Oathkeeper.

But after a while, he'll go ahead and park it in the library at one of the computers. By then he's blown off some steam and types up this message...]

You know, maybe I shouldn't be surprised. I've been pulled from one world to the next for a while now. Just wasn't expecting to wind up on my own again.

Or to end up back in school. So... anything I should know before classes start? Looks like I got pulled in here at the last minute. Might as well get an idea of what I'm getting into.

[ooc: Feel free to bump into Riku at any time, really. I tread to leave some options open!]

[He looks incredibly serious about this, too. Stern, even.]

He must've lost his heart when he saved Kairi. We didn't stick around Hollow Bastion long enough to find his Heartless.

[A beat, and he shakes his head.]

Besides, it'd probably be like any other Heartless.

[It's almost like the wind was knocked out of him for a second and he couldn't breathe. He knew that a year ago, he made some of the biggest mistakes in his life and hurt a lot of people in the process. But hearing his voice just say that he up and abandoned his best friend like that, just cause he was a Heartless, tore him up.

He wants to punch this... version of him. He wants to yell and scream that it's not right and how dare he-- him-- 'I' abandon him like that. He should be punished if any form of him does that, because Sora deserves better. Sora would look for him. Sora would find some sort of way.

He's probably glaring at this younger version right now, almost without meaning to. It does take a lot of self control to hold back those urges, and he just keeps his jaw tightly shut and the nails of his fingers digging into his palm, and reminds himself that he doesn't know all the details.

'But not knowing the details still doesn't make right.'

His voice is eerily calm though.] That doesn't mean that you give up. He might be a Heartless or a Nobody, but he's Sora and should be found.

Yeah, now he's glaring.]

Look, I didn't give up. We kind of had no choice. Ansem summoned an army of Heartless. If we didn't leave then, Kairi could've been hurt.

You think I'd leave Kingdom Hearts open if I gave up?

[Oh shit no. He did not just admit that out loud.

He won't throw himself into a rage, but damn is he ever close to. This Riku seems to be completely serious, but knowing his younger personality, it could always be a taunt or something.

Whatever it was, taunt or a slip of the tongue, he's pissed now. There's always a divide between friends and duties, and Riku's been lucky enough that both factors have crossed paths. Maybe this version wasn't so lucky, but you just don't bail on both friends and duties.]

You're joking. You really think that that's going to bring him back? That door needs to stay closed. You'll jeopardize the whole Realm of Light with that!

I know it's in jeopardy, but closing the door would separate the worlds. There's no way I could go looking for Sora if I ended up stuck on the islands again.

[Yeah, he's getting noticeably angry. He knows he messed up. Getting reminded of it... doesn't help.]

I promised Kairi I wouldn't go back until we found him again, that way we could go together.

[Shaking his head. He just can't believe this.

Riku takes a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves. His pissed and disappointed, but there's no sense in attacking each others throats right now.]

Even if the worlds were separated, you'd see each other again. There's more than one way to get from world to world.

[Gah. He shakes his head. This guy expects way too much out of him.]

Leon told us the worlds would be separated and that there'd be no way to visit other worlds. Nobody told me otherwise, so how was I supposed to know?

[That's only cause he still registers Keyku as him, so he should be just as hard as him as he is on himself.

Because maybe they hadn't known at the time. The worlds aren't connected and shouldn't be, but there's more than one way.

[Except the Corridors are just too dangerous for anyone to use.]

The only other way I know is darkness.

[And there's no way he'd put his friends and himself at risk more than necessary. Just opening up the corridor out of the Endless Abyss took a lot out of him.]

Either way, you're missing the point. Just because you know doesn't mean that I did. And I'd rather take my chances and find Sora than risk losing that chance.
