ITP, the Janitor is IGNORED

[Hey.

Hey Garden.

Guess what.

You're now trapped in the elevator.

Maybe you were too lazy to take the stairs; maybe you just needed to get somewhere and this was the quickest way from A to B, despite the janitor's warnings (and the signs on every floor).

Whatever the reason, it's too late! You're stuck in here. The lights are out, none of the buttons are working (or maybe they're jammed?), and it's unlikely you'd be able to pry open the doors — this elevator is one sturdy son of a gun, and between floors, there's nowhere to go.

Anyway... who's that with you?]

(OOC: Garden's undergoing maintenance and construction now that it's docked at Fisherman's Horizon, and now the elevator is out to get you.

Anyway, this will work like a meme!

1) Tag in with your character, one per comment. Others will respond.

Characters responding can roll the RNG to get a date and time! Already see something you can work with? Go for it!

1 - weekday
2 - weekend

TIME
1 - early morning
2 - peak hour [right before/after classes/lunch; your call!]
3 - between classes
4 - dead of the night

If using the RNG, put your results in the comment title so that your threadmate knows what they're working with — alternatively, if there are options in the RNG that are completely unlikely for your character, make sure you specify what they are so that you get a scenario that you can handle.

Trapped outside of curfew? Beware the Disciplinary Committee.

2) Are you crowded against the wall? Is there only one person with you? What if you're forever alone? React accordingly! Make sure you work things out with each other if your thread is going to have more than two people in it.

Note that getting out through the ceiling hatches may not end well. No telling when the elevator will mysteriously fix itself, after all.

Please don't cling to your castmates; this event is to help foster CR that would otherwise never happen!

[Figures that the one person she'd be stuck in an elevator with is also the one person that she pissed off on the BBS... and forced Wally to kiss. Karmic balance... or karmic revenge? She didn't really know which one it was.]

I don't know... [She's already pulling out her mini flashlight - she never leaves the room without it! - and attempting to examine the panels.] The sooner we get out of here, the better.

[Artemis sighs, pushing off from the wall. At least she doesn't have to pretend to be normal, but of all the people to get stuck with an elevator it had to be two-bit archer girl from another universe. Yipee.]

For once I couldn't agree more. The sooner we're out of here the better.

[She spares a glance for the panel, before glancing up at the hatch.]

Might just be easier to go up on our own.

[So far, the panels haven't been very helpful... Cissie pushes the emergency button, just in case, but she doesn't really think anything'll come of it.

She follows Artemis's glance up and bites her lip.] I've got some rope if you think you can bust it open.

[She might not be quite as acrobatic as Robin, but she's got her fair share of gymnastic ability. So using the rail and wall as a launch point to get to the hatch? Not an impossibility in this situation which she proves with little hesitation. She's had to do tougher things in the past after all, though her landing is a little rough. Elevators way too small for this sort of maneuvering.]

Think you can make it up there on your own?

[It's just a question, though okay maybe it's a little condescending. Sorry Cissie. Artemis can be a total pill sometimes with people she's not all that fond of and right now Cissie is close to the top of her "not fond of" list.]

[It's alright, Artemis is pretty high up there on her own. Still, the question causes Cissie to raise an eyebrow. There's not really that much room in the elevator for both of them to get up there, is there...?

Instead, she pulls out a pocket knife and a mini cross-bow. Carefully aiming it at the roof, she shoots it. It hits right next to the screws Artemis's supposed to unscrew.]

The question isn't if I can make it out, the question is "can you unscrew that by yourself? Or should I come help you?" [It's actually not as condescending as it might've been in other circumstances; Cissie's genuinely worried here.]
