Oh well!

Instead, Kiden can be found the quad, enjoying the sun--yes, she actually does enjoy nice days!--and people watching. It's obvious by the constant twitching of her fingers that she's either bored or itching to be somewhere else.

She actually doesn't have a cigarette; instead, she has a large notepad open in her lap, but only half her attention is on it. In it are her WTR101 notes; it's the only class she won't skip and probably the only one she really cares about. Outlined inside are the properties of a variety of weapons, as well as sketches; they're not very good, having been made quickly, but they're clean...and noticeable.

Come bother her, she'll be grateful insult you, probably. Or find her later, if you're the instructors whose class she's skipping.... ]

I wouldn't... actually, yeah. It's been almost two years now. [Friends, he means. He'd like to date her some day, but he's also convinced that she's totally out of his league.]

We're not dating. [That might've been said too quickly for his own comfort, so he elaborates:] She's... kind of out of my league. We're just friends, I promise.

[ Looking him over, incredulous. Good looking, fit, tall... ]

Myself, I guess. We didn't exactly have the same backgrounds. [Seriously, part of him's impressed they're friends considering that Shar's some rich kid from New Mexico and he's... well, he used to be a drinking, smoking, loitering hooligan.]

If you say so. [he laughs, holding out a hand] Instructor Bronson, by the way. I teach Boxing, though I'm pretty sure I haven't seen you in one of my classes yet.

[ There's a note of curiosity in her voice, though she leaves that hand hanging a little too long to be polite. After they shake hands, hers go back to her lap. ]

Do I look like much of a boxer to you?

[ read: them skinny arms. Actually dem skinny everything, but she figures the arms are most important. ]

Not yet, but you could be one if you wanted to. [He laughs. Jeez, that's pretty much the same reaction he had to his dad when he first tried!] I was kind of the same when I first started out.

It won't hurt my feelings if you're not interested, but I'm usually in the Boxing room if you want a lesson or two.
