oo1. This is me in Grade 9 [action/open]
[Lost Junpei is lost. The school deal he can handle. The dorms deal he can handle. Even the giant inexplicably floating island-sorta-thing he can handle. But he's not all that great with directions, and he's pretty sure he's been past this corridor about six times already. He doesn't want to ask the creepy guys in robes with turkey platters over their faces--they don't look very hospitable--but he's starting to wonder if he's ever going to find his dorm room. A217... A217...
Crap.
These books are getting heavy. He really wishes he had his stupid purple backpack right about now.
Hefting the books, Junpei turns down yet ANOTHER corridor, hoping perhaps to find a big helpful YOU ARE HERE sign.]
[Perhaps he'll find [Bad username or site: witchesreign title=you @ livejournal.com] instead? 8D]

[Ryoji can't help but beam when Junpei agrees to tag along with him. He's glad everything worked out so that he doesn't have to choose between one and the other. He starts walking, leading the way for Junpei to follow.
Shaking his head at question about the weapons class, the dark-haired teen can't help but look a little sheepish.] It's just the basic of the basics. I wouldn't even know what kind of weapon to get, let alone where to get one. And that I have first on Tuesdays and Thursdays. But I have English as my last class during the Monday group of classes. What about you?

Sliding his hands into his pockets--dammit, Minato got him doing that!--he falls into step alongside Ryoji, then grins.] Hey, I have English last, too, all week, actually. [He makes a face.] I didn't wanna have to depend on the translator the whole time. Besides, girls dig multilingual guys, right?

[Ryoji takes a moment to quickly wave to some passing students, ones he vaguely knows, but not all that well. He uses the chance to remember the translators.]
I'd forgotten about those things. They gave me one, but I don't really use mine much.

[And by 'bumped into' he means 'got punched in the face by', but who's counting?]
Apparently we both got dropped here at the same time. Funny, huh.
no subject
There's actually a few people who speak Japanese here. Not just us.
no subject
And yeah, I did run into one other guy who spoke Japanese. Ah... Hanamura? Know him?

[Ryoji pauses to think, bring up a hand to his chest. Then he shakes his head and shrugs.]
Nope. I haven't heard that name before, so maybe he's new, like you are.
no subject
Mm, yeah he seemed new, too. Weird thing is, I'm sure I never met him before, but something about him feels really familiar. [LOL matching Arcanas.]
Anyway, tell me about these cute dancing partners of yours, bro. [A big grin goes here.] I think I got two left feet, but I like your logic.
no subject
Maybe you've met him before, but you just don't remember it?
[Ryoji grins and starts talking about the classmates in his dancing class, before coming to the last one that's sure to catch Junpei's interest the most.]
And then there's Minako-chan. Apparently, she's a parallel world's version of Minato!

The comment regarding Hanamura is mostly lost to Junpei's contemplation, but he's ripped clean out of it at Ryoji's next statement. Giving a visible start and turning sharply to him, he makes a face.]
What? Wait, just... what? [Okay, there is just no feasible way for him to wrap his head around this one.]

[And she's cute? Junpei isn't so sure he's comfortable with Ryoji thinking the mysterious alternate universe twin of his very best friend is cute. He has no idea who she is, or what this is all about, but if she's somehow Minato's sister or something, Junpei's not terribly inclined to just let people make passes at her. And knowing Ryoji... it sounded like potential trouble regardless.
Huh. Must have been an instinctual BFF thing.]
no subject
They don't really look too much alike, but... Well, you'll understand when you meet her.
no subject
Welp--wanna go grab something to eat after we drop off your paperwork? I heard the cafeteria food ain't half bad.

[It isn't long before the two of them reach the office that the Disciplinary Committee reports to. Ryoji takes a moment to sort and organize the papers he's been carrying, before knocking on the door. He doesn't wait for a reply before opening the door and entering, probably because he knows he's welcome inside.
Inside is an impressive looking office with a serious looking SeeD sitting behind a desk that's fairly cluttered with papers and files. Ryoji looks rather out of place in such a setting, but he seems perfectly at ease regardless. After handing over the papers he'd been carrying, trading a short conversation with the person behind the desk, and then getting a file handed back to him, Ryoji leaves the office with a wave and a grin.]
Thanks for waiting. Ready to go?

Even if it means you got yanked away from home, too, I'm glad you're here, man. [It is the time for a Brofist.] Akihiko-senpai, too. It'd suck to be stuck here with no friends.
Let's go check out the cafeteria, and you can tell me all about the ladies worth scoping.
